The rooms are beautiful and very spacious. The grounds are stunning with lovely river walks directly from the hotel. Dogs are very welcome which was great especially as we have an extra large one! We will be coming back"

"Check in was easy and in the main bar. The property itself offers basic but more than adequate facilities. It is an old pub which we found gave the place an old world charm that we really liked. However, If you want immaculate decoration and newly fitted bathroom this isn’t the stay for you. The rooms are priced relative to the decor and facilities and represent great value for money. Breakfast was lovely with cereal, juice, toast on self serve and a full breakfast cooked to order. A vegetarian full breakfast swapped the bacon and pork sausage for grilled halloumi and veggie sausage. All delightful well cooked. We will be back to stay here again"

"Hotel reception manager was lovely and helpful during our stay. Room was okay, average and clean enough - though it had a smell (possibly from the bathroom) when we entered so we aired the room out. Downside was how thin the walls were / how loud the other guests were on a Saturday night. The noises kept us up from late evening to around 2am."

Being able to walk down to the River Usk and wander for miles through the open fields was such a special experience. Every single person we encountered was warm, kind, and welcoming. The dining team were especially lovely and incredibly accommodating, making each meal feel personal and enjoyable. A particularly memorable moment was on the morning of our departure, when the gardener—while tending to the fire—took the time to stop and chat with us about the grounds. It’s those thoughtful, human touches that make a stay truly unforgettable. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. It was a genuinely special and memorable experience."
