We have stayed here three times over the last couple years and every time it’s always just how we want it, relaxing, comfortable and quiet. Looking forward to our next trip up north
It was a comfortable place to stay with our family and dogs for our bird hunting trip. Hot tub was nice and clean and wonderful to soak in after hunting all day. No fish were biting during our stay probably due to time of season. Would definitely stay here again!
This cabin is very comfortable and well supplied with everything you may need. The location is very quiet and beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay there and would recommend this cabin to others.
This cabin was perfect! Very clean, great location. The scenery was beautiful. It has all the amenities that you would need and more. I definitely want to come back
We had a great stay! The cottage had everything we needed. The property was very clean and we had a peaceful weekend. We enjoyed the pedal boat and the fire pit and the hot tub!
The cabin was absolutely beautiful! The lake view was stunning. Pretty much had the lake to ourselves. It was really nice to get away from the metro Detroit area and recharge. My husband and I brought our dog and she had such a blast. I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone that is looking to spend time with their family, loved ones and their dog!
Due to the wilderness location but very comfortable house, we convinced our adult son to join us. So much to see not far from here, but also great location to really feel away from everything. The pictures don't do it justice. If you need to get away from it all and/or love nature, can't beat this place.
This was a very Beautiful home to stay at. Everything was so nice, well maintained and great instructions for use of the place. Night sky in the peaceful hot tube was Amazing. Hope to book again.
The property was very clean. I had a very good time. Anything that you can imagine you need was provided. Hot tub is the best. Highly recommend this place
We had a great visit and even saw the NORTHERN LIGHTS from the backyard dock. The dock was a great place to star gaze, listen to the owls, and enjoy the little lunar eclipse. We hiked and swam at nearby Ess Lake and ClearWater State Parks. The place was clean and adorable with all the up north decor and beautiful views of the lake.
Kitchen had every tool, grill was awesome. Hot tub, was great to watch the stars. Only thing I would have asked is a heads up on the neighbors letting their dogs run free. Beyond that, perfect stay.
Made good use of all of the amenities of the cabin including the hot tub, paddle boat, fishing rods, grill, fire pit, and kitchen utensils. Probably the first ones to turn on the furnace for the season as well and it kicked out heat in a hurry. Would strongly consider staying again.
The cottage is just as advertised. This is our second fall staying. We take a yearly fall trip to play disc golf at Clear Lake park. The kitchen is fully stocked, beds and furniture are comfy, house was clean, property is beautiful. The hot tub is nice to relax after a day of disc golfing. We will be back again. Thank you.
Second time staying here. Perfect for our family of four. Very well stocked rental at a great central location for exploring many lakes, nearby up north cities, and activities. Some of our favorites are Clear Lake, Rockport, Ocqueoc Falls, and Alpena. We even mixed in Onaway, Indian River, Gaylord, Mackinaw City, and Roger’s City. We finished every night with a mix of bluegill/bass fishing, relaxing in the hot tub, and a campfire w/ smores. We might just have to make it three years in a row next summer.
Very pleased with this clean and spacious home! Tap water and ice cubes are perfect, hot tub is grand, Wi-Fi is a bonus. Loved the fire pit and happy for the large A/C unit to keep us humidity free inside! 10 out of 10!
This was an amazing spot for me and my family to get away for a long holiday weekend. There's a great view of the tiny lake and it didn't have many neighboring properties so it stayed quite for the most part. We had some of the best nights stargazing as there was very little light pollution. The backyard had more than enough room for games and the trees in the back were perfect for putting up a hammock. We enjoyed the hotub and all the amenities this place had to offer. On the days we felt like exploring or being productive, we took a quick trip to Alpena. We are so glad we found this spot to relax!
The place was idyllic and peaceful -- just what we were looking for in a quiet holiday family retreat. There was plenty of kitchenware, towels, and linens for us for a few days. Hot tub was excellent and wifi was quick. It snowed about 4-6" over the first day we were there, and our car had trouble cresting the hilly gravel driveway with all the snow. But that's just our car, which doesn't have 4-wheel drive. Would love to see the space in the summer months!
Very nice place with plenty of room and easy access to the Northern portion of Michigan. Nice view and a quiet neighborhood. I read another post that talked about the neighbors dogs but they were not a problem at all. They would bark but run away as fast as they could! LOL! Recommended!
I rented this property as a base for a week long fishing trip. The property is spacious and clean. Plenty of room for boat parking and other vehicles. The lake is beautiful, but it is not a swimming lake. The lake is heavily silted, so you sink down in the muck if you try to walk in it. My nephew and I took the paddleboat out for about 30 minutes and boated about 10 bass, a nice blue gill, and a 32 inch pike, all on a drop shot rig. All of the bass were about 13 inches long, but we saw a couple of 3 to 4 pounders cruising the drop off. Anyway, there are fish to be caught with relative ease it would seem. Of course, we threw all ours back for you to catch yourself! This is a very nice place for my purposes, and I will look to rent this place every time I go to this area for a fishing vacation..
