honestly would have given this home 5 stars if it hadn’t been for the severe pest problem outside.The house itself is absolutely gorgeous—spacious, beautiful, and with huge rooms that gave everyone plenty of space. We really loved the home itself. The guest bathrooms are somewhat outdated, but overall the house is lovely.Unfortunately, the outdoor pest situation seriously affected our stay. There was a significant ant infestation throughout the yard, around the pool, in the grass, and along the trail to the beach. There were also multiple bee and wasp nests around the porch. I was extremely thankful we decided not to bring our dogs because they would have gone into the yard and could have quickly been covered in ants. The pool area was especially difficult. There were dead ants throughout the water and live ants constantly around and getting into the pool. We repeatedly tried cleaning them out, but they would come right back. The host did have someone come out the next day to treat the property, which we appreciated, but unfortunately the ants continued returning. After the bees and wasps were treated, there were also dead bees around the pool area.The biggest disappointment was that this should have been addressed before guests arrived. Part of renting a home—especially a beach home where guests are specifically coming to enjoy the pool, yard, and beach access is making sure it’s pest free before arrivals. The ac in master was broken upon arrival was fixed next day
