Sea Pines Experience

We had a great time at the house. Location was the main thing...right next to bike path and not far from the beach or other sites in Sea Pines. The house itself was somewhat dated and had a couple of issues, however, the rooms were large and comfortable. Also included were washer/dryer, dishwasher, grill and a fully stocked kitchen. All in all, we had an awesome week.

Nice but worn

We had a lovely time at this house. There's plenty of room for everyone to lounge around. A huge living room, giant family room and open kitchen and three bedrooms with their own bathrooms. It was much larger than we expected and had everything that we needed. It was also a short bike ride to the beach which is all we really wanted. The house was a good price probably because it hasn't been updated since the 90's. Which didn't bother us at all but there are some areas that are showing it's age. Carpet has some stains in areas, tile floor in the master bathroom was cracked and soft in spots. Cabinets are showing lots of wear and the furniture has been used by a lot of people. None of these things would keep us from coming back as long as it's priced accordingly. Overall we loved it. Since this house is managed by a property management company they could have done a better job of communicating how to check in. We arrived after the office closed so we had to get our packet from a lock box. There were parking passes but no keys or codes or anything to tell us how to get in the house. We had to call a number and wait to talk with someone who finally gave us a code for another lock box. Again, not a huge deal but frustrating after driving all day to have to figure out how to get in the house.

Family vacation

House was super clean and comfortable, very spacious with tons of sleeping space and seating. We only had 3 people but you could definitely sleep 7+ with just the beds and couches. The decoration was beautiful, and the beds were very nice. It even had a big porch and an outdoor shower to wash sand off. It was a very short, easy walk to the beach, but we rented bikes and rode all around sea pines on their beautiful bike trails. There’s a harbor, marinas, walking trails, tennis courts, beaches, parks, and shops all within a 5-10 minute easy bike ride. Sea pines is wonderful and feels very safe. I let my teenagers bike together with no problems, so definitely safe for kids. Although there is a nosy neighbor who was slightly annoying, we loved our stay and highly recommend this place.

Everything I needed

Comfortable bed, large closet and two sink master bath. Stove, microwave and outdoor gas grill. Strong wifi and smart TV. Short biking distance from everything we needed on the south end of the island.

Great location

We loved our trip and the location of this property is ideal. I would advise bringing your own bedding and something to cover the couches, however. That stuff is really old and pretty yucky, tbh. Also, if you don’t have bikes, have them delivered ASAP. We used Pedals and they were great. Have fun! It’s an amazing place to vacation.

Great house, great location

Beautiful, comfortable, clean house, easy bike ride to beach, harbor, shops, etc. My only quibble is that the listing included photos of the nearby tennis courts, leading us to believe their use was included in the price of the rental but it wasn’t ($30/court per hour).

Great location and big house

Our Family has a great stay. It was a last minute weekend getaway that worked out perfect for what we wanted to do. Even though the house is ver out dated it was in a great location to bike and beach in Sea Pines. It felt like when my parents would take me to Hilton head in the the 80’s. Overall we had a great time.

Restful and relaxing

My husband and I came to Hilton Head for the first time this past week, and really enjoyed the area. The home was nice, carpets were vacuumed, bed sheets were clean, etc. We did find that the jacuzzi hadn’t been cleaned we I was able to clean it no problem. The house is beautiful and reading some of the entries in the guest book and was sweet. We also found many light switches that didn’t appear to turn anything off or on, but that didn’t bother us. The only other thing we noticed was that some of the cookware (pans specifically) were not cleaned well, so we had to wash those prior to preparing our meals. Overall very good stay.

Short notice booking

Booked this long weekend as a spur of the moment trip. Available listings were very few at the time and this property was one of a handful available. We were a bit concerned after reading a previous review that was just last month but were pleased to see things were not as bad as were previously reported. The house was clean, the location was quite and close to where we like to access the beach. We packed up our vehicle and dropped our beach supplies off the bikes from the house to the beach. About a 5 min bike ride. The house exterior needs sprucing up doors are worn and some general cleaning could help. Interior is spacious with a nice layout. Plenty of light, beds and bathrooms that are clean. Was able to enjoy our family of 6 playing games and eating dinner together. Would recommend a general updating of the decor as it is dated, early 90’s ish looking. Would recommend for a short stay.

Wonderful location and roomy house

It was a wonderful location and big and roomy house. It was clean. But it needs to be remodeled. The shower doors barely open. The sliding glass doors didn’t open very well. The many light switches didn’t work. One of the bathroom cupboard doors fell off the hinges. We had to replace light bulbs that didn’t work. The smoke alarm batteries need changed. It’s time to update and clean up this property. The pictures show a very pristine house, but that wasn’t the case.

Nice wooded area

Home was very nice. Being in SeaPines is sometimes difficult because of their daily charge (especially for our guests) and the location is far from many island activities. Overall, the 4 min walk to the beach and the tranquility was very uplifting. Home was well equipped for cooking, etc. and had comfortable furniture.
