This property sits on the Atlantic City oceanfront, which is mere steps from your fifth-floor condo. A short drive puts you at the Hilton Head Marriot's spa or one of the many golf courses. If you’re staying on the property, your Captains Walk stay entitles you to use the pool complex, which has one adult pool, one children's pool, and an immense sunbathing deck.

This spacious condo comes with a fully equipped kitchen, a large living room, and breathtaking views of the ocean from the living room windows. The living room opens up to a large deck with ample seating, where you can watch sunsets and sunrises. The master bedroom offers a king bed, a private bathroom, and a personal balcony overlooking the ocean, while a second bedroom sleeps more guests. Each room has a flatscreen cable TV and free WiFi.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

My husband found 5 larvae in him at condo over a course of a week. We told property manager and they contacted a pest control company. Since all properties were full, manager had no place to put us while process of spaying for larvae. We had to leave property 6 days early. No reimbursement from Vacasa as they didn't find any bugs. We had larvae on us; we did not lie. Very disappointed with Vacasa and handle g of our concern. It took 48 hours for Vacasa to obtain pest co trol services. We had to get back with them to find out decision in property rental. Again it was no reimbursement for 6 days left. Felt like they thought we lied.

Great Location!

This property is in a perfect location with several activities and the beach right out front. Now for the negative,this unit has a serious rodent problem! The second night we were there we heard noises from behind the stove and noticed a rat behind the stove. After contacting Vacasa it took 2 days to get an exterminator company to the unit to make repairs to the entry hole in the wall and deploy a trap. Also had evidence of mice eating food on the kitchen counter tops. Other than the rodent problem the unit was very clean and had great amenities. I have contacted the property manager left a voicemail message and have not received a response. Chris

Great location - NEEDS updates

The location/neighborhood was amazing but the condo is in desperate need of repairs/updating. There was a mismatch of uncomfortable furniture in the condo with damaged walls and tiles in the bathroom. Would stay in the neighborhood again but not in this unit.

Location was incredible. The unit itself is OK. Needs updating in decor, the washing machine didnt work all week and there is black mold in the shower of the master bathroom. I would use Vacasa again though. They were organized and helpful.

Do not rent

To start we arrived late the night of check in and went to pick up our parking pass and it wasn’t there. I called the management it went to a non-local call center and they didn’t know what to do. Property management company ignored our request for assistance. THIS is a terrible rental! After your shower you still feel dirty in this place. We placed a sheet over the couch to sit. Broken rusted couch is broken down so bad it’s sitting on the frame, dishwasher, bugs in the shower (killed with the wash cloth), broken tiles, flaking paint, mold in the washing machine, holes and marks on the walls, screen to the balcony has large holes, door frame near the front door is rusted on the inside. I booked through VRBO management is Vacasa. Worst property I have stayed at in 16 years and over 20 trips to Hilton Head. Unreal how terrible it was with such a prime location. But when your skin crawls and you can’t feel comfortable inside of this condo, your vacation is ruined.

Relaxing weekend getaway to celebrate wife’s Birthday. Beautiful ocean front views, unfortunate poor weather conditions. Very good dinner on Plantation property at Alexander’s and lunch at Jim’s BBQ.

Nice ocean view!

This property was decent for a few days, but it is is bad need of some TLC..! Needs some updating. Holes and cracks in tile in bathrooms need to be fixed. Laundry area and closet filthy. My husband was going to check the air filter and decided against it …we didn’t want to know ..! Just felt dirty. I feel that it should have been a little nicer for the rate.

Pretty nice place

Overall clean. Both bathrooms need a little TLC, but nothing very bad. Master bath has awful shower head and pressure. Second bath tub was kind dated. Otherwise it was nice and I’d rebook. I like dealing with Vacasa as well. They’re good people.

Holiday getaway

Great location. Nice view of the beach. Spacious unit. Pool deck was under construction so it was tricky getting to the pool. Unit, while comfortable, probably needs to be updated. Floor of main bathroom shower is slippery - tile on the shower floor is the same as on the shower walls. The shower sliding door did not slide very well. Keyless entry was a very nice feature. Overall, an okay place to spend a few days during the holidays.

Renters Beware

Condo was old, dirty, furnishing were old. Washing machine broke on day 2, was not repaired . Mold in bathroom shower, hair on floor. 2 coffee pots , both broken. . Light under stove top not working. Tub faucet drips water all day and night. Code to enter condo is 9 digits, way too long to try and memorize, no ability to change it. Pictures on Vacasa’s website do not match actual furnishings in condo. I have used VRBO for 10 plus years to rent Vacation homes, it’s a shame they sold out to VACASA as they are a terrible company. Their reputation in the industry is horrible and their customer service is even worse. I will not be using VRBO in the future and I will never stay in a Vacasa rental again. I am still waiting for a return call with some form of compensation . Vacasa ruined and I sincerely mean RUINED a well planned vacation with family members who have not seen each other in 3 years. I spent two days and several hours at the local laundromat and several calls to Vacasa to try and get the items repaired . The condo had no frying pan or sharp knives which they did bring to us after we called. The condo was dirty and definitely not cleaned properly. I understand there is a shortage of employees, but for the amount of money I paid, I at least expected clean bathrooms. We wanted to check in on Saturday, but were told we could not check in until Sunday due to the fact that they didn’t have enough staff to clean the condo from the previous guest. Ridiculous excuse!!! I would appreciate a call from someone at VRBO or Vacasa that can intelligently discuss some type of compensation. I have heard every excuse and at this point I am fully aware of the challenges that the island is experiencing. Vacasa needs to do better, doubtful they will . It’s very unfortunate for the consumers that they no longer have a reputable company like VRBO to rent from.

Great location.

This unit is in an excellent location for beach & pool. Views are great. Overall it could use some updating, especially in primary bath shower (lots of mildew stains) & kitchen essentials. Not a lot of frills, but a nice unit.

Great location, needs updates

Location was perfect, right on the beach, wonderful private view of the ocean, great access to shopping, restaurants, biking and walking trails. The unit was rundown and shabby. Couch was worn out, sagging, pilling, and uncomfortable. The dishwasher smelled and looked distasteful, and the trays had rusty, broken spokes. The kitchen was missing some basic pieces for cooking. While the unit smelled like disinfectant when we arrived, and all surfaces, linens and bathroom pieces were clean, the unit seemed like it had not been deep cleaned in quite some time. Baseboards were dusty throughout, lesser used cabinets and dishes had some residue, dryer was rusty and chipped inside, some lightbulbs were burned out and some outlets didn’t work. I give this feedback, as I might have chosen differently if I had known about the upkeep on the unit when booking. I emailed the property manager about these issues with the hope that the unit will get some deserved upkeep and attention, because Captain’s walk is a great location and this unit could accommodate a good sized group comfortably.

Great Location

Great Location, right on the beach..beautiful view from the covered balcony...unit is showing it's age...master shower door needs to be replaced, screen in the living window flew off ..lock on sliding glass door needs to be replaced, screen on master bedroom was ripped...none of this effected our enjoyment though....

Family week vacation

Captain’s Walk is always a great location for a family vacation while in HHI. This condo had everything necessary for your stay. Would recommend they keep a broom and dust pan in the room, so the option to sweep the sand off the floor during the week could happen.
