'Wietenah' - Perfectly renovated historic cottage
Summary:
Welcome to Wietenah, an historic cottage perfectly located in a tree-lined street in inner-city West Hobart. Conveniently positioned across the road from the Lansdowne Cafe, the house has undergone a high-end renovation whilst retaining its beautiful original features. Guests will feel right at home amongst the luxe finishes throughout and the sunny backyard to enjoy. Two bedrooms are furnished with queen beds, making Wietenah ideal for couples to share or a small family to base themselves in.
The Space:
Wietenah has been carefully renovated and restored to a high standard with modern finishes using a soothing colour palette with timber accents throughout.
The house has two spacious bedrooms, both furnished with queen beds and featuring beautiful original fire places (not in use). The bathroom has been tiled with sleek modern tiles which are offset by the exposed sandstone walls.
A cosy lounge is set up with lounges and guests can enjoy streaming their favourite shows with the smart TV.
A galley kitchen is set up with all the mod-cons and equipment required for an easy and convenient stay. The Hill Street Grocer is a firm favourite with Tasmanians and you will find their flagship store only a 2 minute drive or 5 minute walk from the house. Filled with local produce and delicatessen items, guests who choose to self-cater will find everything they need here.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the sunny, enclosed porch or spend time in the manicured backyard. Wietenah is super close to the CBD and all of Hobart's inner-city attractions.
Guest Access:
The house is made available for guests to enjoy in private. Guests have access to all areas.
The Neighborhood:
West Hobart is a trendy inner-city suburb of Hobart. Streets are lined with Victorian and Federation houses and there are various popular cafes, pubs and shops to enjoy. The CBD is within comfortable walking distance, otherwise taxis and Uber are easily accessible at a cost of around $10 for a ride into town.
Knocklofty Reserve is a popular walking track close by and there are also several playgrounds for children to enjoy.
Getting Around:
Public transport or Taxis/Uber are easily accessible from West Hobart. Walking is also an option. Hobart has ride-sharing scooters available, simply download either the Neuron (orange scooters) or Beam (purple scooters) app to locate a scooter nearby.
Interaction with Guests:
