Jack was more than accommodating and ensured that we had a nice quiet, quaint spot. The place was a little difficult to find but Jack got us in the right direction!
It's a perfect place if you love nature and wanna far away from the noise of a city!
Very relaxing. It was nice staying at a place that didn’t have kids and only a few people. It was quite and beautiful but still close to everything. The breakfasts were amazing!
I would highly recommend and hope to go back.
The facility was stunning and room was spacious and comfortable. Jack was a spectacular host, kind and accommodating. Breakfast was cooked right before us and was super tasty. Amazing hiking trails. We would definitely go back again.
We arrived and were greeted but when we got to our room we noticed we could hear the gentleman in the other room talking on his computer which meant he could hear us so there was a lack of privacy. Also we thought there was a breakfast included but we were told breakfast was 50.00 extra. The lack of privacy and unsafe feelings caused us to leave a day early. I do not recommend this establishment.
The garden suite was in great shape and well decorated. We were not 100% comfortable taking our shoes off at the door, then walking down to our suite, when there were two dogs in the house. We were politely asked to not use the whirlpool tub after 11pm, which was not in the rules. This is an adult only bed and breakfast and our intention was for a weekend of relaxation and I think limiting the usage time of the tub is a bit excessive. We were asked if we wanted our room refreshed and replied no, however when we returned our bed had been made, tub cleaned, etc. Within the pictures of the rooms, champaign is shown in each room - there was no champaign in our room. Satellite channels are advertised, but be aware there are only around 10. Wi-fi was terrible. Lastly, the house is very poorly insulated and you can hear everything that happens, including the owner walking upstairs. Nice place, but not worth the rate they charge!
This place is way off the beaten path, but nice. Our room was very nice, but we had no control over the central air and when the owner turned it on for us it still didn't get cool in our room. The room had no wash clothes which I thought was very odd. I always bring one with me from home. So glad I did. The service on the tv was really bad. Kept going in and out. This place is the owners home. It’s huge, but just felt different. For the price you pay you'd think the tv and central air would work and wash cloths would be supplied.
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We stayed in a lower level room that was in the "basement". They have a quiet time at 11pm and we heard heavy footsteps/doors shutting loudly and what sounded like fueniture being drug around upstairs most of the night. The bed was pretty uncomfortable and there was hardly an internet signal most of our stay. Other than that the house and our room was really nice and made for a nice getaway.
This was my first b&b, the host was very kind and hospitable. The location was hidden in a beautiful little forest surrounded by wildlife. The room itself was large, clean and romantic. I highly recommend a stay!
Booked the honeymoon suite for our son and wife. Prepaid way ahead of time . Night of the wedding they got to Inn around 11:00 only to be yelled at by owner why we didn’t answer phone during reception ! We were busy and did not know they called.
Also owners bedroom was next to the honeymoon suite and he asked inappropriate questions multiple times to new married couple . Would never recommend to other couples to use for honeymoon suite.
The space seemed amazing. We had a hard time finding the place but the owner did answer the phone and assist us in finding it. His attitude was strange, telling us to “shut down our phones” and just listen to him.
Once we arrived the place is beautiful and tucked away. The doors have push button locks like any homes bathroom. It didn’t make me feel comfortable leaving any of my stuff in the room.
We were the only people it seemed so the “shared space” of the kitchen and porch seemed awesome.
Once the host arrived we realized he lives full time at this location and it’s not just shared with guest but also the host. When we met it was very awkward. He didn’t seem glad to have guest. He wouldn’t look up from his sandwich he was eating at the table to even say hello to me or my husband. We had to interrupt to get any info on the place. We felt super unwelcome.
Even though this is a honeymoon suite we couldn’t use the private hot tub in our room past 11pm to not disturb the host.
In the morning things got worse when I texted about the breakfast. Even though I paid for the most expensive room, and booked in advance, he said we “opted out” of breakfast. When I asked why he ignore my text. So we just left.
The room is nice but it feels like you’re intruding in someone’s house and not a vacation or get away.
I wouldn’t spend over $120 for this room and I honestly feel like I got ripped off.
Pigeon Creek Inn is a great place to stay in the Holland area. Jack was a great host and made a great "Dutch" breakfast for us honoring our heritage. He makes amazing meals based on what you are looking for. The room we had was very large, quiet, the spa tub was amazing and the views from the balcony into the forest around the Inn were amazing. We highly recommend Pigeon Creek Inn
We liked the location of the inn being out and away from traffic and noise and yet close enough to food and shopping. The breakfasts were great. A more relaxing chair to sit on in the room would have been nice, too. But we truly enjoyed the atmosphere and the construction of the inn. Very private, too.
The house was beautiful. Way away in the woods. So quiet and peaceful. The Honeymoon Suite was perfect, especially the jacuzzi. Jack was a fabulous host and a fantastic cook. This place was great. We hope to make this an annual trip. Worth every penny
Host was lovely, as was the property. Woods back up to a park with nice marked trails. Room was clean and spacious, although not the room described on Hotels.com (Jacuzzi tub rather than balcony); very nice anyway. One disappointment was a rather lumpy bed. Otherwise very sweet.
