"This is an ideal hotel for those seeking a quiet restful location away from the busy large hotel experience. The staff are amazing, and the tranquility of the gardens wonderful. The garden rooms are getting tired and need a refurbishment which apparently is happening in a few months time. The food at breakfast, lunch and dinner is exceptional, and the location of the hotel is ideal for walks either to the Port and center or away to the promenade, the lido and rock pools. "We have stayed here many times. The front desk staff always remember us. They are very friendly and helpful. The garden view room we stayed in this time was very spacious and quiet. The hotel is in an excellent location with lots of restaurant choices nearby and now the Madeira Museum of Modern Art just around the corner with many musical performances."
