Ilikai 734 - Beautiful Ocean & Lagoon View Suite

Relax on the balcony and enjoy the gorgeous lagoon and ocean views. This spacious 7th floor suite overlooks the famous Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon and Beach with ocean views of the famous surf spot Kaiser Bowls.

The suite is nicely decorated with one Queen size bed and one Queen size sofa bed, to accommodate up to 4 people. There is a full kitchen with granite countertops, complete with a full size refrigerator/freezer, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and all the basic cookware, utensils, and dishes. The unit is also equipped with a flat screen cable TV and air conditioning. Free high speed internet Wifi is provided with a dedicated router in the room.

Enjoy the amenities of the Ilikai. Take a swim or lounge by the pool. There is a full size outdoor pool and a new bathing pool (shallow and perfect for sunbathing or small children). Lounge chairs and seating areas with tables are sprawled around the pool and entire hotel grounds. There are numerous shops, eateries, and bars all on site and many more within walking distance of the hotel. Top off each evening with a torch lighting ceremony in the courtyard just before sunset, and on Fridays enjoy fireworks from the lagoon to start your weekend off with a bang.

Prime location - close to everything! Steps from the beach and Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon, and just about anything you want to do is nearby - numerous beach and ocean activities, shopping malls and boutique shops, restaurants and bars are all within minutes of the hotel. Perfect location for an awesome vacation!

Parking is available and is paid directly on site: $45/day valet parking. at the Ilikai, $33/day self-parking at the Marina Garage next door, or self parking in the harbor lots behind the hotel for $1/hr with the ability to ad time by phone or online. (*Parking rates subject to change)

The balcony view was very impressive. The location of the apartment was perfect to stroll down to the lagoon and Waikiki beach. A short 10 min walk to main shopping areas. The actual apartment is tired and needs some TLC. It wasn’t very clean. There were tiles missing in the bathroom, carpet is stained, dirt on top of skirting boards and there were makeup stains on the towels.

Beautiful view and close to beach. Wish it had more towels and amenities in the condo. I left 3 boogie boards. The cabinets did have a weird smell when you opened them and air conditioner was a little loud. Overall, good.

Great Location, Awesome View

We can't say enough about the location and the beautiful view off of the balcony. We watched the fireworks from our balcony, it was a perfect setting. Check in was easy. We don't like to leave negative reviews but the unit itself was lacking. The carpet is old and that's OK, IF there were not a lot of stains everywhere. It gives the appearance right when you walk in the unit is dirty. It was great to have A/C, but it's super loud. The bathroom shower stall was full of mildew/mold. The tile area was nicely caulked in some areas, however several areas were not, especially around the shower pan where it meets the tile. (This could be due to not having a bathroom exhaust fan operating) There is a tile missing in the bathroom under the towel rack. Under the kitchen sink was not wiped out at all. There was a big rusty area that just needed a wipe down. We did not cook a thing while there, (we were on vacation :), however the oven door was very greasy. The pillows are NOT comfortable at all, as well, there is a mattress pad that is foam and you can feel each and every one of the cone like things that are supposed to make the mattress more comfortable....NOT!! There were bird droppings all over the table on the balcony as well the rusted out chairs were not usable. The location however again, is a 5. We are coming back in March. If this unit was cleaner, we would not hesitate to rent again. Aloha

The property is absolutely beautiful, well kept and comfortable. The view from the balcony is absolutely gorgeous!! There are only a couple small areas that need updating which are the carpet, its old stained and tired. In the bathroom near the shower there is a missing piece of trim and lastly the AC unit outside is hot and noisy and looks like its falling apaprt. None of these impact the stay and are just cosmetic. Our first time in Hawaii and it was perfect!!

Hawaii vacation

The location of this VRBO was located near everything. Our balcony was overlooking the beach. There were several restaurants to choose from and if you are military active/retired there is the Kale Koe hotel that serves amazing food about a 8-10 minute walk. The weather was amazing.The Mall was literally a 15 minute walk with a great food court selections and great stores to shop at. The only negative part of the trip was that we were accross the street from a hotel (Hilton) on strike. The Union workers were up early at 6am early morning loud striking for 3 days but aside from that we had an absolute amazing time. We are already planning our next trip with this realty company.

Elevator!

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in Ilikai and had a wonderful stay. The only downside was on the day we left when the elevator, with just us in it, got stuck on the 7th floor for about 3/4 of an hour. We pressed the emergency button and were told we would have to wait Opus to come and if that was more than 15 minutes they would call the fire brigade. However, apparently the fire brigade were in the hotel's vicinity all the time and told us they had only been called a few minutes before they arrived. We were worried we would miss our flight home as our shuttle didn't wait for us although we had paid ahead! We got there in the end thankfully.

Pros: -location was perfect; right on Waikiki Beach - Best views of Hilton Fireworks -Lanai was awesome! -Bed was comfortable - Cons: -Slow elevators -lots of stains everywhere on carpet, drapes, etc. -the office chair looked like it was mauled by a bear (host came and switched it out. )

Vacation in Honolulu

Great location in Honolulu area. The condo was just as listed. We enjoyed the excellent access to the beach during our stay. The view from the lanai was also well enjoyed each day!

Close to Ala Moana, at the beginning of Waikiki so easy access to hotel without big crowds of pedestrians. Room was clean & stocked, extra towels, pillows & blanket for the fold out bed. Also had beach chairs to use, stored on the balcony. Working AC and tv with cable or netflix option. View of the pool and lagoon. No Friday night fireworks yet from the hilton but its a perfect spot to watch it from your balcony. We loved it and will stay again ❤️

I really enjoyed staying at this place

The process was easy the place was clean and very comfortable. I felt safe with my daughter staying there . Also the bed was super comfortable. Parking was easy behind the building . The location is great as well.

Happy with the location

Pro: The condo was decent. Condo located adjacent to Hilton. Beach & store were in walking distance. Beach chairs & umbrella provided ( didn’t have a chance to use them due to the waters was too rough the time we stayed). Nice view of the lagoon & ocean - sunrise behind the skyline but no sunset view (big bummer). Easy check in, Hotel was clean but too crowded, have to wait inline for elevator. Cons: the condo bid of wears & tears, so to make sure everything (cracks, stains etc…) was reported, We video tape everything as it was suggested. Condo didn’t provide enough dishes (only 3 diner plates), none whatsoever essentials for cooking- such as salt, pepper & sugars .The balcony area, the chairs were rusted, it can stain clothes if not be careful. The upper level kept watering theirs plants so it dripped down to the balcony area, got wet & ruined our diner. We have to move the table & centered in front of the slide door, which make it harder to move around. Overall it decent place to stay just for two people but no more than that. We didn’t stay at the condo that much, just for breakfast & few diner. Yet, would suggest to have the condo to be renovated. The furniture in the condo showed major wear & tears.

Disappointing property that does not live up to the expectations set by description, poorly managed

The property seems to be well maintained when viewing it on Vrbo - however, it was quite the opposite when we had arrived. A poor check in process, absolutely no amenities (1 roll of toilet paper for a 10 day stay!!, no shower supplies, basic seasonings of cooking supplies), and run down furniture made staying at the place truly disappointing. I would stay far away from this place, even if the price seems enticing. When we arrived, furniture was ripped and broken, and due to an extremely lackadaisical and lazy check in process - we were charged for everything I assume that they wanted to replace. Things we did not even use or could have possibly noticed during a thorough check in were charged to my credit card. The management refused to budge and was happy to have me pay for their replacements. The one and only good thing about this place was the location, if you are willing to deal with the headache of dealing with all this trouble after you're already home from your fun vacation - then be my guest and stay here. If you want a seamless experience where you dont have to worry about what fast move a property manager is going to pull on you, or worrying about trying to find toilet paper on your vacation, or even somewhere where the furniture basically functions - then this is NOT the place to stay. I've gone back and forth with management to try solve all of these issues before I left this review, but they have truly left a sour taste in my mouth. Never staying at this place again.
