This was our second time in the hotel. We asked for the same room (in advance) and we got it . I wish there was air conditioning in the rooms. I love the little tea room with daily cake! It makes me feel like on a skiing holiday in a chalet
Helpful staff, clean rooms, meals were fab. However no aircon in the room made it very uncomfortable to sleep & there was quite a delay in getting food & it didn’t seem to be overly busy when we sat down to eat
Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location
We had a lovely stay at Boot & Bike in the Peak District. The hotel is in a fantastic, beautiful location and is a great base for exploring the area and going on hikes. The surroundings are absolutely stunning.
We loved the interior of the hotel too - it has a really lovely style and atmosphere. Our family room was spacious and worked really well for four people. A particular highlight was having proper beds with real mattresses for the kids rather than an uncomfortable sofa bed, which made a big difference.
There is also a great big car park, so parking was really easy and convenient. There is no staffed reception, with self check-in and check-out, but the whole process was very easy and straightforward.
The only slight disappointment was the breakfast. We felt it could have offered a little more, particularly some freshly cooked options such as omelettes and a wider selection of fresh, local produce.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Boot & Bike for anyone looking for a beautiful and comfortable base in the Peak District.
Lovely stay. The hotel is spotless. I couldn’t fault the stay, amenities or the staff. They were above and beyond on many occasions.
People have said about a breakfast issue previously but I found it to be absolutely fine and that’s coming from staying on a bank holiday weekend. I would definitely go back!
Great location with easy access to surrounding towns and hikes with bus stop right outside. Good breakfast options to fuel up before heading out for the day. Very helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely be back.
Excellent location, lovely staff and clean rooms with a great shower for post-hike/bike.
The rooms were a little hot during the heatwave, even at night where the temperature outside was a good 10 degrees cooler than inside the room. Windows were not large enough to provide sufficient airflow I think
The restaurant was not worth the price - there are plenty of fantastic, cheaper options in the nearby hathersage/hope area.
The location is fantastic, with frequent buses and plenty of hikes.
Bike rental was also great. A fair price and very relaxed check-in / check-out experience.
Overall very good, would stay again.
Was an impromptu stay checking in and oit was easy, comffortable rooms and very clean. Very reasonable price for stay. Resturant was fab staff were very prompt and friendly and food was amazing. We will definitely be back!
Lovely vibe, staff are great and friendly, happy to chat with guests.
The gentleman who changed are room was very helpful as we requested to move to the other side of the hotel, away from the road (light sleepers) and they were happy to help. Would recommend to anyone, great place to stay and fantastic location for walking, cycling etc
