Ocean View Retreat - Discounted Long Stays!

Beautiful house with ocean views that sleeps up to six people. Walking distance to main street and beach. Short drive to Fitzgerald River National Park. Fully self-contained downstairs with two bedrooms, a bathroom walk in shower, separate toilet, laundry, kitchen, lounge room, and outside BBQ. Upstairs has a large bedroom, spa bath, toilet and lounge room with a large balcony with views.

The space
The house is private, set back from the main street on a big block with native gardens attracting numerous birds.

Downstairs has open plan living, comprising kitchen, dining area, lounge, bathroom, laundry and two bedrooms. There are two BBQ;s, one Brown & Kiegler and an older one useful for larger groups. The house has a wrap around front veranda leading out to the garden.

The house also has an upper level with a second living area, large bedroom, separate toilet and a large spa bath with views of the Barren ranges and ocean. The upper lounge area and bedroom lead on to a deck with seating to enjoy the ocean views.

The property is not fenced and is generally unsuitable for pets or young children. This is a non-smoking property.

Guest access
The house is accessed via a key lockbox, with the code supplied by email prior to arrival.
It comes with a fully equipped kitchen and has fresh, hotel quality linen. It has a washing machine, dryer, ironing facilities, t.v., dvd player, stereo and everything else you could want to enjoy your stay.
A high chair and port-a-cot is available on request at the time of booking.

Spring getaway

Property was well located being walking distance to town. Lovely upstairs balcony perfect for watching the sunset with a glass of wine. Beds very comfortable & warm. We had a great time, loved Hopetoun, loved Fitzgerald National park, & loved our accommodation. Will definitely return.

Stunning view, comfy location, and absolute stunning property

We had a wonderful stay. The kitchen and living area were well stocked and perfect for cooking delicious meals. Beds were comfortable and each bedroom was nice and privite. The upstairs area was comfortable as a stand alone bedroom and as a lovely relaxing area. The location was close to town, easy access to the local cafes and pub as well as the well stocked IGA and General Store/Post Office. Would love to stay here again.

Beautiful Home in Hopetoun

Even in winter, this home has it all. Wonderfully cosy house with wood burner (very kindly prepared by our host). Stunning coastal views from the upstairs deck and spa. Walking distance to local IGA, pub and waterfront. Perfect, relaxing place to unwind.

Great location with good views in Hopetoun

Ocean View Retreat is a great place to stay for a family or group of friends. It is in a perfect location, quiet street, walking distance to town and the beach, nice views of town, ocean and the national park and lovely to wake up to the birds singing each morning. Pia provided a portacot and high chair which made travelling with a baby much easier. Highly recommend.

Great stay in lovely Hopetoun

We are a family of 6, and had a fantastic short stay in Hopetoun. The property is close (walking distance) to the shops, playground and jetty. The house was spacious, clean and well kept. Comfortable beds. The only thing that was missing was a dishwasher. But overall, a wonderful house well equipped to accommodate families.

A comfortable and relaxing time in Hopetoun

Thank you, Leslie, for sharing OVR with us. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay which helped make our visit to Hopetoun and surrounds a delight. We enjoyed the garden and being able to watch the sunsets and moonsets over Mt Barren and the ocean from upstairs. It is an easy walk into town and the beach and the Salty Sip Co coffee van. A nice view to be had from the Port Hotel whilst sipping an ale. Edwina was helpful too, thank you.

Hopetoun Honeymoon at Ocean View Retreat

We had a wonderful stay at Ocean View Retreat! Everything was exactly as pictured- the views of the ocean and Mount Barren from the spa were a delight! The wood fire also enjoyable after a day exploring in wintery conditions. Whilst unexpected we were so grateful to receive the most beautiful wedding card congratulating us along with a bottle of bubbles which was very much enjoyed. A lovely house and the bed very comfortable too! A great place to stay and would love to again when next in Hopetoun!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Mud brick walls ground floor, corrugated iron upper floor. Combined modern rustic and industrial decor which works well. High ceilings. Heaters in every room, wood burning stove (mid October, chilly nights). Spa for two in the upstairs living area. Quiet. Two BBQ’s. Kitchen well supplied. Country garden with many small birds. Sunny, wide verandah. Front steps uneven - better to approach front door from the side verandah if carrying luggage from car in driveway, for instance. Lovely, peaceful home. Ruth

Excellent home - with good space and great facilities. Loved the view from the house back to the ocean. Made to fell very welcome by the host and easy to follow instructions on how to use the equipment in the home. Very clean and well presented- can’t wait to stay there again
