"Absolutely loved this hotel, a true hidden gem with a paradise-like garden courtyard. The rooms are spotless, with quality linens and brand-new bathrooms. The hotel is connected to an art museum, so there’s beautiful art everywhere, plus a lovely library with a view of the 25 de Abril Bridge. "Old style hotel with historic architecture, one block from the waterfront. Staff were all excellent and on point. The building is from a bygone era, so entries, stairwell, and lighting are not the most modern, particularly if you are expecting a Marriott or Hilton with a Starbucks in the lobby. Great service, outdoor area, restaurant, and clean."

The hosts could include additional information for guests on how to travel downtown by public transit and provide suggestions for local dining. "

"Very “quirky “ property. Large open lounge areas on the main floor open , but not sure I could use them. As if they were frozen in time. Room was clean and adequate. Bed very comfortable , AC good. Cleaning staff helpful !!! Bus line and shops close by. neighborhood was a local flavour , no not the downtown tourist scene , which is a plus for me. Walkable down to Jerónimos monastery and museums. "
