The Tipsy Gypsy

Walk to Hunter Mountain for skiing, snow tubing or the beautiful sky ride. With a great village location this home has a front row view to the ski slopes and is walking distance to Hunter Mountain, the NYC bus station, restaurants, bars and the Mountain Cinema! The home has ample storage for your skis/snowboards, two bedrooms, one and a half baths and a laundry room off the kitchen with a full size Murphy bed. We are pet friendly so feel free to bring your fur babies!!!

The space
Enjoy all the Catskills has to offer! Walk to hiking, biking, fishing, skiing, snow tubing, the Hunter Mountain sky ride and so much more. Or take a day trip to Bailiwick Animal Park and Riding Stables, hike Huckleberry Trail or Kaaterskill Falls, swim North-South Lake or visit historic Woodstock or Kingston NY. Take an ATV or snowmobiling tour to really enjoy the beautiful mountain terrain. This home is perfectly located for you to to take in all the beautiful Catskills have to offer year round.

Entire home. Home is one floor, master bedroom has a king size bed, spare bedroom has a queen and there is a Murphy bed. Home has a washer and dryer. Small deck off the side of the home. BBQ grill and fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of room to store your skis and snowboards! Hardwood floors throughout and very pet friendly.

Perfect home away from home!

Renee was fabulous to communicate with! Her home was a great amount of space and in an amazing location. We had a very short stay but would love to come back again soon!

Relaxing Weekend

The home was beautiful, tastefully decorated with all the comforts of home! Beautiful flowers around property. A lovely front porch with a birds eye view of the comings and going! Renee was a wonderful host, very helpful, responsive and accommodating! Would def stay there again!

Catskill Hiking Layover

My friend and I were doing some hiking in the Catskills and stayed at the house for one night. It met our needs perfectly. On the physical side, there were two good sized bedrooms and the common area and kitchen area worked well for us as we cooked our meals rather than dining out. We also found the house to be very clean. We appreciated the excellent communication with our host and found check-in easy. The washer/dryer at the house was a big plus for us as we had hiked in the rain the day of arrival. We also valued the large enclosed entry area as a way to store our gear without bringing into the house. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

What a wonderful and cozy house. We loved the high-top dining room table. We spent a lot if time there just chatting and enjoying a light meal and a good glass of wine. Thank you Renee for hosting us!

Excelente casa, quase que em frente da estação de ski. Apesar do problema na marcação, que foi prontamente resolvido pela proprietária, adoramos a estadia, pois a casa é muito confortável.

Lovely house next to Hunter lift

Location is very convenient to get to ski lift by walk 7 minutes, drive 1 min. House has that old house charm.Owner let us arrive before official 3pm check in.What was missing in house, no tea kettle, no jacket rocksat main entrance. Den site with rocks was way too cold to hang jackets. But coffee pot with coffee and filters were waiting for us.Will be back for sure. Thanks

Comfortable and Easy to Book

The home was clean and comfortable. It is well located on the main road and very convenient. It was easy to communicate with Renee. She was able to accommodate our request to check in early. It was just my husband and a for one night but i can see this as a great place for skiers. Lots if room for gear and relaxing.

Great Host

Super location with awesome host I lived in the area for about 20 years then moved south to the Hilton Head area .First time VRBO in the Hunter area .This place brought back great memories as a child .I went to HTC K-12 The school (changed very little) I played socer and little league there.The local businesses so close to you .Walk for a bagel or a slice of Pizza..Have a drink aSuch a great time t the local pub or fuel up for the travel to Kingston ,Catskill or numerius other places Such a great time and accommodation were fantastic .

Perfect Spot for a getaway

This was the perfect spot for my wife, two dogs and I to spend Labor Day weekend. The house was exactly as described, had everything we needed and was close to lots of things to do. The host was quick to answer and helpful!

Engagement weekend

We rented this because my daughter was getting engaged at hunter mountain. The house was exactly what we needed. Everything was clean and set for us. The owner was so easy to communicate with and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again

Best Place in Hunter!

This property was super clean and the owner was always available for communication. After seeing the entire town, I can honestly say I don't think there is a better location in Hunter. I walked my dog two blocks to the Dolans Lake Park and was able to hike at Kaaterskill Falls and the Mountain Top Arboretum with the dog. We thought Selena's Diner had an outstanding menu in Tannersville. Also took the opportunity to visit Kingston, do the River Cruise on the Hudson, finishing it off with dinner at Savona's. The ski lift started operating on the day we left and would have liked to do that, as well. Step back in time to Hunter, this lovely property, and all that there is to offer in this area!

Amazing location

Amazing location right across the street from the entrance to Hunter. Very clean and spacious. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen. We had one glitch that was quickly addressed by our lovely host. We would come stay again!

Wonderful house!

Two couples stayed here for a long weekend to ski at Hunter. The house is so convenient - 2 minute drive to the mountain and 5 minute walk to a couple of restaurants. You could probably walk to the mountain but it'd be tough in ski boots. The house is spacious, comfortable, clean, and has all the necessities! Overall, as described in the listing. Thank you!

Midweek ski days

My family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights while skiing at Hunter Mountain. Couldn't ask for a better location , right across the street. Very nice home , comfortable, well furnished , and had everything needed for our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome Time

My friends and I spent the Thanksgiving weekend at the property. Everything went smoothly from check in until our check out. The host was very accommodating, gracious, and easy to reach out to. The place was clean, had a fully equipped kitchen, had comfortable beds, and compete with bathroom needs. And I should say, it had a very cozy atmosphere. It also was very close to the ski resort. For sure, I would book the property again and again, and highly recommend it to everyone.
