Tulip inn is a nice hideaway motel off the higway and may need a little updating but arrowhead under the same owners across the street had a bit more flair, cleanliness and modern feel.. definitely would book a stay here again, staff were very helpful and accommodating with no issues

This Motel is okay, it doesn't have much amenities, the TV remote didn't work properly, the coffee maker didn't work properly, the bed was comfortable and the location close to Arrowhead is nice but it is kind of far outside of Huntsville.
I loved that there was a kitchenette. However, I would have preferred if the sheets and towels would have been washed in unscented and/ or all natural detergents. Also we needed a crib and there wasn’t one.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Room was clean, beds were excellent. Room could have used some painting ( rust on heaters). Shower/bathroom was old. Had to ask for a toaster. Towels were rough. Overall, the room was very expensive ( average of $200 per night for 6 nights stay) for a 2 star motel. Location was good, pines and sandy beach walk were pleasant
This place had potential, but it’s obvious that management does not invest in the property at all. Bed was clean & comfy, but curtains didn’t fully close (we had to use a paper clip to maintain privacy!), bathroom was rusty, table old & water damaged, and lamp flickered.
The outside was nice, you could bbq or have a small bonfire
The inside left alot to be desired. Old and dingy, the beds were like sleeping on board.
The worst part was, when i booked the room on line, no where did it say i would be charged extra if i brought my dog to a pet friendly motel. When i booked in, they were rude about it when i commented about it.
Service was terrible. Internet and TV were not working and we werent told during check-in had to find out ourselves and reach out to ask. Beds and metal frames on metal boxes so they make noise everytime you move.
Signs for extra charges if dishes weren't washed. Only shampoo and facial soap provided.
Booked because it was dog friendly but we will look for other options next time we are in the area.

Not worth the price but was ok for one night.
I don't believe that this motel should be worth the price we paid and should be 2 star or less. The girl working there was super nice but the room smells bad like humidity. There was some stains on the sheets, the place was not wow, it looked very old and not really maintained. I saw no bugs but I did not feel comfortable or clean in this motel. I did sleep well none the less.
there was "nothing" to like. The property had chemical odours.. Lights with no / or damaged on / off switches - rusting, broken machinery at back of unit right by the bathroom window, dirty floors ... and much more!!!
Smoke detectors had been removed and not replaced
Holes in towels
No wash cloth available
Only two paper cups available in room
Peeling paint on walls
Uncovered wall electrical outlets
Broken drawers
Gap indoor frame, allowing mosquitoes entry
Screen door was dirty with dried blood from dead mosquitoes
Mould around bathtub.
The cable was out causing relaxing at night to be harder than its should have been. When asked about it we were told it would be fixed the next day. However we went for a walk to relax and other rooms clearly had it and worked just fine. The staff didn’t seem to care and refused even a $10 off
I paid $260 for a crappy , dirty, disgusting motel. Their photos show a deck with a sliding door. Our room was dirty and no sliding door or a deck!
Our toilet door didn't lock, washroom was nasty, bathtub was dirty, toilet inside was dirty , vanity and sink were dirty toilet window was dirty!
Our AC unit filter was so dirty (black) when we just walked inside, there was dirt fluff from AC on the beds!!! They changed the sheet promptly! Bed sheets were very old. As the previous review mentioned, bed box was metal box and a metal frame with probably 2inches of the cheapest firm mattress on top. The pillows were toddler size. Kitchen was disgusting, we only used their fridge, even though we paid for a kitchenette to cook, I was grossed out! They charge you $200 for a dirty spoon left and $200 for dogs that you sneak in, however they don't give a crap about cleaning their own disgusting motel. There were no garbage cans outside in the property, except for the big industrial type on the side of the building. I paid $20 for my dog, and I didn't know where to throw away his poop bag. there is "picnic" area with a campfire and few chairs and 2 grills and again NO garbage cans there either. I don't know anyone who's cooking and not needing throw away any garbage.
Playground is very old and and unkept.
Beachfront - is another misinformati, it's a river !
The only reason we stayed in that motel because of close proximity to Arrowhead Provincial park.
Overall, I want my $260 back!!!!
