About this property
Walk to Lake Erie — Renovated 2BR Huron Home Near Cedar Point & Kalahari
This fully renovated 2-bedroom home in Huron, Ohio puts you within easy walking distance of Lake Erie, Lakefront Park, the public beach, and the Huron lighthouse pier — while keeping Cedar Point, Kalahari Resort, and the Lake Erie islands within a short drive.
Renovated in 2021–2022 and updated since, the home sleeps up to 5 guests across two bedrooms and a queen sleeper sofa. It's a bright, well-appointed cottage with vinyl floors, high ceilings, and an exposed beam that give it a relaxed, beachy feel — and the kind of thoughtful details that make the difference: quality towels, comfortable pillows, a fully stocked kitchen, K-Cups, creamer and sugar ready to go, and bathroom essentials including shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Just show up and settle in. Whether you're heading to Cedar Point for the day, fishing Lake Erie in the morning, catching a tournament at Sports Force Parks or Andrew Fabens Memorial Park, or simply looking for a quiet base to explore the shoreline, this home is set up for all of it.
LAYOUT & SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The home is approximately 750 square feet — compact, efficient, and laid out well for up to 5 guests.
• Bedroom 1: Queen bed • Bedroom 2: Two twin beds • Living Room: Queen sleeper sofa • Bathroom: 1 full bath with tub/shower, stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash • Sleeps: Up to 5 guests
The queen bedroom includes a dresser for storage. Luggage racks and benches are provided throughout — the home has an open storage layout rather than traditional closets, which guests find easy to work with for shorter stays. One interior closet is reserved for host use.
KITCHEN & DINING The fully stocked kitchen has everything you need to cook in — quality appliances, good prep space, and counter bar seating. K-Cups, creamer, and sugar are stocked for your first morning. An outdoor grill is available in the backyard for evening cookouts.
UNIQUE BENEFITS
• Walk to Lake Erie — Lakefront Park, the public beach, and the pier leading to the Huron lighthouse are all about a 10-minute walk from the front door. Downtown Huron's restaurants, bars, and local shops are approximately 15 minutes on foot.
• In-unit washer and dryer — a practical upgrade guests appreciate, especially for longer stays, fishing trips, or tournament travel with uniforms.
• Boat-trailer-friendly parking — the stone lot behind the property accommodates two vehicles plus a full-size boat and trailer. Multiple guests have successfully backed in a 20-foot boat. Enter and park from the rear of the property.
• Quiet, low-traffic street — the home sits at the end of a dead-end street that borders a school parking lot, meaning virtually no through traffic, especially in summer.
• On-demand hot water — no running out during a busy morning with a full house.
• Fast Wi-Fi — reliable connection throughout the home.
• Roku Smart TV — sign in with your own streaming accounts. Roku Guest Mode means everything signs out automatically at checkout.
• Well-stocked and welcoming — engraved coffee mugs, quality linens, a welcome guide with local recommendations, and bathroom essentials all included. Nothing feels like an afterthought.
LOCATION & ACTIVITIES Huron sits on the southern shore of Lake Erie in Erie County, Ohio — positioned between Sandusky to the west and the Firelands region to the east. It's one of the most convenient bases on the lake for accessing the area's top attractions. On foot from the property:

Outdoor recreation: Lake Erie is one of the premier walleye and perch fisheries in North America. The Huron River and surrounding area offer excellent fishing access, and the property's boat-friendly parking makes it a natural home base for anglers. The lighthouse walk, Lakefront Park beach, and nearby Nickel Plate Beach round out outdoor options for non-fishing guests.
Tournament & event travel:
Sports Force Parks in Sandusky is one of the largest multi-sport tournament complexes in the region, drawing families from across the Midwest for baseball, softball, and soccer tournaments. Andrew Fabens Memorial Park in Huron also hosts baseball and softball tournaments and is approximately 5 minutes by car. Kalahari also hosts frequent cheer, dance, and gymnastics competitions. The property is a consistent choice for tournament families.
PARKING Two vehicles park comfortably in the stone lot behind the house. The lot also accommodates a truck, boat, and trailer — guests enter from the rear of the property. Please use the designated stone parking area and avoid blocking the shared driveway.

Outstanding stay! Comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, A cleanliness, and toasty warm during a winter storm. The hosts were highly communicative as we navigated the weather. We highly recommend and will return!
Loved, loved, LOVED this place! It felt like HOME, super cozy, clean, FRESH smelling, bright and beautiful! The area was quiet and we walked to the Lakefront Park, DoNut Shop and Faben's Park with our daughter daily!
Enjoyed the 2 bdrm, 1 bath, recently renovated house. The decor kept with the location by the lake. The location was ideal. Would stay there again. Reasonably priced.
My aunt Sister and I stayed 3 nights we fell in love with the house. It was just perfect for our little get a way. The house had everything you would need to cook which we did all our meals there. It is only a block or so from the lake and a nice park. We would stay again.
Wonderful place in a quiet neighborhood. Just a short walk to town and Lake Erie. Very clean. Comfortable beds. So cute it makes you feel like home. Close to the Lake Erie islands and Cedar point. We loved it.
My family enjoyed our time here. We came for a baseball tournament at Sports Force Park; it was an easy & quick trip to and from the ball fields. The space was nicely decorated and the hosts were quick to reply and address any questions or issues that came up. One suggestion I’d have is to put more hooks or towel bars in the bathroom. One hook and one small towel bar was tough with 4 people’s bath towels & beach towels if you go to one of the public beaches near by. We went to Nickel Plate beach a few times. It was a public beach close by that was really nice. It looks like there is space for a washer and dryer in the bathroom, which would be nice addition; there was a laundry mat close by so washing uniforms wasn’t too bad.
Our stay was short but we had good experience. Host reached out in timely manner with questions to answer I had. My husband ,self and his 80 plus mother came in town for funeral The house was just like pictures and easy for my mother in law to get around with her walker my Husband grew up on Williams street as kid which end up being one or 2 streets down from we rented Happy accident as I am not from the area . Even though the stay was short and we were there for a funeral . The neighbor hood took my husband and mother in law back to happier times It backs up to school but was quiet . I enjoyed the stories of how my husband ran down another football player on football field at school . Happy accident.I enjoyed how being back in old neighborhood made my mother in law feel like she was home again We will stay here again and be telling our family friends.

Fall Brawl stay
Everything was just as described, 2nd time we have stayed at this address. It is perfect for us, close to everything and the hosts are super.
A wonderful little retreat, set in a quiet neighborhood, close to the water and restaurants. The house is adorable, well-maintained, and incredibly clean. Would definitely stay again!
This was a great little place. Fully functional and room for 4. It had everything we needed and was convenient to get to and from Cedar Point. We would gladly stay again.
We were in the area for a soccer tournament and found the location to be great for access to both Sports Force and Cedar Point. In addition, the town of Huron and lighthouse area was fun to explore. The property manager was in communication with us from the start and we enjoyed our stay very much.
If you’re looking for basic accommodations, with a few perks. This is a nice spot. Clean, quiet, convenient and easy to find.
We would definitely visit again.
Thanks so much.
