"We stayed at the Fireside Inn for 2 nights, and the place was rustic, cozy, and comfortable. Centrally located, in walking distance to everything. However, we stayed there during a time of heavy snowfall, and I am not complaining that we had to showel the driveway and our parking spot (that was part of the fun), but I wished there had been some wood logs provided for the fireplace. It was still a little bit of a distance to walk to the closest place for logs, and taking the car was out of the question during this heavy snow, and carrying a heavy wood bundle all the way to the property would have been quite difficult! So, with thick snowfall outside it would have been the perfect time to have a crackling fire going, but, helas, there was no wood.... Other than that the place was fine! We'll be back one day! "

"We were at Strawberry Creek Inn, a sister property of Idyllwild Inn. Right behind the property is Strawberry Creek and a path next to it is a nice shady 10 minute walk to the main part of town. Perfect since our goal was to be out in nature and leave the car behind. (We did need to drive a short distance to get to trailhead for Ernie Maxwell Trail, which was a great hike, as well.) Across the street from the Strawberry Creek Inn is a small community dog park/run where you can let them off-leash. The hotel didn't charge extra for having a pet, which is nice. The room was pleasant and the bathroom had a jetted tub. We stayed one night and have no complaints. We would recommend it. But if you want to be directly in town, their main property, Idyllwild Inn is the choice you want. Be sure you know which property you are getting because we accidently went to Idyllwild Inn to check in, not realizing we were at the other location. We were very content with our spot, though."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was great! We had 11 people and all fit comfortably. The location, layout of the house, and amenities are exactly as described on the site. The house and surrounding land was clean and well maintained. Although the driveway is steep, it was easy to navigate; definitely recommend turning around at the top so as to make the departure easier. I appreciated the prompt response by the property manager about check in, check out, and the one time we had to call (we asked to have the trash removed as we filled the outside garbage cans before our check out date.) The town of Idyllwild itself was fantastic; there’s a lot to do in the immediate neighborhood of the house, including hiking, shopping, fishing on Hemet Lake, enjoying the delicious restaurants (Atomic Cow and Idyllwild Pizza were our faves), and pottery painting at Earth Fire. Overall, it was a fun and relaxing vacation with extended family. Highly recommend!"

"Had a wonderful experience!! Cabin bigger than it looks, very clean, TONS of towels (which I respect), and it had all your basic needs. Communication from the hosts was easy and responsive! The location is absolutely perfect! Easy walk to town! The backyard is perfect for dogs but make sure to keep them leashed. We will absolutely be coming back!"

"A 3 night escape from LA for a peaceful stay. So. Peace. Full. Close to hiking trails. Super clean and well appointed. Spacious. A little sad to leave. Especially the hot tub amongst the pines… "

"We were very pleased with our choice of this rental. Lots of room and the place gets nice and toasty (especially upstairs.) It is in a great location and the neighborhood is quiet and relaxing. We only had a couple hiccups that Gabby fixed immediately (hot tub was barely warm and the ROKU was all in Spanish. Gabby sent someone right away to fix the hot tub and we reset the ROKU for English-for the last 2 days there was no internet/ could have been an outage-we didn't care.) The property was very nice and offered us alternatives but we were happy staying at Knotting Hill. Overall, we recommend this place and looking forward to staying at some of the other rentals they own. "
