"We stopped with the Olive Branch for a night on our way to Lundy. Jo was so helpful and welcoming - her Breakfast was one of the best I have had in such an establishment. Facilities were great and for a perfect little stop you could not ask for better."

"The hotel is well overdue for a makeover, the staff, however, are excellent, although they forgot to service our room on a 2 night stay. The room was extremely disappointing, being both small & very, very scruffy. The position of the hotel is absolutely perfect for exploring Ilfracombe, if staying again will book direct with the hotel and ask for specific rooms, in all a very enjoyable visit, apart from the accommodation, the breakfast was excellent! Mark and Shirley"

"It was a great stay, nice facilities and amazing staff. The only reason I wouldn't say 5 is: - check in was delayed by an hour or so. - there was no spatula. - the hob fan and light didn't work - the microwave defrost was more like full power. - I didn't know what to do with the bins. Maybe I missed this somewhere. Would stay again"

"The most amazing property with the best view I’ve ever stayed in. Spectacular views from every window in the apartment overlooking the town and sea.Very clean, spacious and everything you could possibly need. Our stay was 3 nights and gave us plenty of time to see the area. Walking distance to town, restaurants and walking tracks.You will not be disappointed if you stay here."

"We had a fantastic stay at this property for my sister’s hen do. The space is spacious and clean and the hosts extremely responsive and helpful. Because it is a former hotel, every bedroom has its own en suite bathroom. This made the process of everyone getting ready to go out in the evenings so much easier.For me, one of the best features is the layout. The main living and social areas are located on the bottom floor, which is effectively sound gapped by the ground floor above it. This meant those who wanted to head to bed earlier could sleep while the rest of the party continued downstairs without disturbing anyone.The location is also excellent. It is a short walk into Ilfracombe town centre, which was great for grabbing ice creams and pasties by the sea. The bus routes into Barnstaple are reliable and cheap, with one-way tickets costing only 3.I would highly recommend this property to any large group looking for a comfortable, well-located base in Devon. We’re already looking at rebooking for a family birthday. We had a brilliant time, and it really made the hen weekend special."
