***Due to the ongoing issues with Mexico's water treatment pumps, the ocean is not guaranteed to be open at this time.. They do test the bacteria levels daily, but the majority of the year the Ocean has been closed from the Border, past Imperial Beach up to Coronado Beach. If swimming in the ocean is a major amenity I would not stay in these areas, until further notice.***

Driftwood is a gorgeous, recently remodeled 2 bedroom / 1.5 bathroom home with more than 1,200 square feet of living space, plus three balconies, a small enclosed patio and a private, secure garage. The main floor has a living room with a large flat-screen TV (including HBO & STARZ), dining room with seating for six, a completely updated kitchen and convenient powder room. The two bedrooms are located upstairs, each with brand new KING-size beds, closets, vaulted ceilings and balconies. The loft is accessible from one of the bedrooms and is furnished with two twin XL beds. The main bathroom is situated between the two bedrooms.

Driftwood is across the road from the beach in “Seacoast Villas” a small complex with 10 townhouses. Each property has its own private garage with direct access to the individual units – guests can also access their unit from the second floor common area. Driftwood has lower level patio with a BBQ.

The property was cute and convenient; however, dead termites, live termites, termite dust on and in one of the beds and pillows. Dead termites along the slider in the room. Responded to an email the following morning after our first day asking how our stay was going, explaining the situation. Never heard back. Received an email after getting back home with an apology and saying I should have called a number and that they had been closed, even though the first email said they were open that day from 9 to 5. I felt like they were blaming the victim. Responded to that email, and a week and a half later have heard nothing back. Also, don’t know what was going on with their floors, but after just a few minutes of walking on them the bottoms of our feet were black.

Nice rehab in and out. Web outside photo should change to show redone exterior

Clean and as described. Lots of towels and blankets. Could have used basic day to day supplies. For example sponges in kitchen,extra toilet paper etc. I wondered where extra groceries from former guests went. I always leave behind some basics like sugar and coffee and my experience in visiting IB yearly is that others do the same. Not so here but overall accommodations was great

Beat the Heat Vacay!

Even better than posted. The whole building was recently repainted, prettiest on the main drag. Walking distance to food, bars, shops and of course the beach. The house was fully stocked and so beautiful! My teenage son had a friend with him and they loved the loft! My husband and i liked the pull in garage, much safer than street parking. It was a nice 75-78° stay for us, could have used more sun, but we had a couple good days. Would definitely stay again!

Great location

This was a nice place to stay. We enjoyed the location and the beds were comfortable. The only issue is the termite dust was landing on our bed and they had just swarmed before we arrived. Minor issue but it is why i gave it 4 vs a five.

Beautiful house by the beach

Such a lovely, clean and well stocked property. Has everything you need (apart from A/C, but the ceiling fans and some sensible use of doors/curtains does the job), and feels very secure. We’ll stocked beach equipment, unfortunately the local beach was unusable, but very easy to drive north 20-30mins to some lovely others (eg Mission/Pacific/La Jolla Shores) Would highly recommend staying here if you are heading to San Diego. It’s also really easy to get the trolley into town to see the Padres at Petco Park!!

A wonderful home with a lot going on around it. Lots of restaurants, though the pizza place next door was our go to, and the beach was just across the street. All the neighbors were friendly and there was always something happening. Wanted to check out San Diego, ended up staying in the area the whole time instead.

Coronado High School 50th Reunion week

What a great location just down the Strand from Coronado. This area has really cleaned-up since the 70's and really close to where we spent most of our time in Coronado. Too bad the Mexican Government has been dumping 230 million gallons of untreated sewage into the ocean that prevented us from enjoying the beach in Imperial Beach, just across the street from this VRBO location. There were a few maintenance issues that need to be addressed with salt air corrosion, but that is to be expected in this area. we were not able to get into the unit until 30 minutes after our check-in time because the cleaning crew was not finished cleaning our unit, and apparently another unit in the same complex.

Quiet condo close to everything

We have come to imperial beach two years in a row, and really enjoy it. This condo is very clean, and decently equipped. I like having a garage to park in while there- a place to leave sandy stuff and secure our vehicle.

I loved the location of this property; it was directly across from the beach. The townhouse was cute and had everything required, I just didn't realize there was no AC in the unit. Other than that, it was an amazing stay. Would definitely come back.

Perfect in the heat!

Despite unusual heat for the San Diego area, this condo was a great location with lots of fans and our ability to bring in the ocean breezes made it very enjoyable. Thanks for everything!

Second time staying here.

This was our second stay at this vrbo. We love the location, walk across the street and you are on the beach. The property management is quick to respond. They have beach equipment ready to use. Kitchen supplies and towels. We will stay here again in the future.
