STORMY HILL RETREAT on Gooding Lake

"A quaint little rustic apartment in a beautiful lakeside setting. Rebecca was a wonderful host: warm, attentive to our needs, but never intrusive. She even made us delicious cinnamon buns and offered to set up the fire pit for us.The only caution is that the stairs are quite steep and high, so the apartment may not be suitable for anyone elderly or with mobility issues. Otherwise, it was a lovely stay in a beautiful location, and we would highly recommend it."

We would have stayed longer if we could have, but the road was calling. We loved the Snowgoose Pond B&B & hope to return someday."

"Jenny is a very nice, welcoming host. Spotless, clean and comfortable. This property is gorgeous and we really enjoyed our stay. The cabin has more than we needed and the details feel so homey. Rental rules, check in and out instructions accurate and reasonable."

"Our family has stayed 2xs now everything has been great and the location works well for us communication with host is great - just fyi the 2nd porch stair is a lil tricky and loft stairs use caution with kiddos my gran loved the loft!! beds are comfy too Highly recommend!!"

"Great location and view of lake and mountains. Cabin was clean with plenty of supplies for us to use. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. A great place to stay and relax after a day of exploring the Palmer/Wasilla area. We would definitely stay here again!"

"When we checked in there was no one at front desk. Rooms were larger than standard hotel room, more like a studio apartment. Air Conditioner was a portable unit running outside through sliding door but worked ok. Location in downtown Palmer is great."
