"Room was dirty/ bedsheets and walls. The service could be improved as they were very annoyed that we were foreign (which is understandable as they have so much paperwork). Couldn't find our booking so wasted an hour just trying to check-in."

"We chose the hotel because of its good rating (>8), but this is not at all true to the current state. The rooms had the basics, but were not clean (except for the sheets), borderlining dirty also in the washrooms, and with no toilet paper. We found /got rid of two cockroaches. It was noisy in the night and in the morning since windows faced a back alley. The staff was rather uninterested in ud upon arrival at night and did not inform us about the breakfast hours, so we missed it in the morning. The hotel is situated in a cheap railway type area with a many low budget hotels and restaurants, but feels reasonable safe. We found a good veg food restaurant, late in the evening opposite to the railway st. The main uplifting episode at the hotel was that the receptionist helped us in the morning to book a taxi."

"We booked A/C rooms based on the very clean and upscale photos the property had posted on all online sites, however when we got there the address didn't even have a PPH Railotel property. Instead we were directed to a dilapidated Hotel Sree Murugan - with torn furniture and amenities from the 90s. The hot water in the rooms were only available for the morning hours of 6-10am, so we could not even use the room to refresh ourselves after checking in! The sheets were stained, and there were no bath towels to use. One of our rooms even had a broken AC and that needed an electrician to fix. While all the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helped out, the property fell way below our expectations. I also felt utterly mislead by the property listing - the pictures were from a different property and not the one we were ultimately put up in. Very disappointed with this experience. "
