"Everything in Costa Rica takes some driving time. Don’t let the 1:20min drive from the airport discourage you.
Buffet food is okay.
Restaurants are good. Try the tuna tartare.
Area around the resort is busy and industrial.
Don’t waste your time driving around for souvenirs. There are no shops. The gift shop has average to low prices. Ask for coupons at check in. 10% off helps when you buy everything at once.
Airport has nice souvenirs if you don’t want to hassle during your trip, but it will probably be 20% higher. Buy your souvenirs during your excursions.
Don’t forget your Yetis’s or Stanley’s, Bars fill them with drinks.
Rooms are okay, but cleaned daily.
Rent a car and explore. We traveled to Monteverde, Waterfalls, Jaco…at our own pace.
Want to see monkeys, go to playa Manta.
The entertainment at the resort is hilarious. They’re interactive and remember your name.
I would go back. It’s mostly a locals place, but if you want to swim, drink, eat, and laugh you’ll have a good time. They do offer things to do and eat till 130-2am.
I would go back, and see the Volcano. During our stay the roads were not passable.
8 out of 10 for me.
The value $ was amazing."
"Such a unique, serene experience. The entire staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The hotel had so many activities within itself it felt like we didn’t have enough time there!! Our favorite part was definitely the farm to table food experience. Every drink and dish was exquisite. We really appreciated this hotel’s keen attention to detail and the thoughtfulness in everything they do!!"
"Great location near Monteverde—close to hiking and nature, yet peaceful and private. One morning we even spotted green parrots from the back of the home, which was a lovely surprise. The property is new and well-maintained, with a smart layout that worked well for our family. We appreciated the 1.5 bathrooms and access to a washer and dryer, which made our stay more convenient.
The air conditioning in both rooms worked perfectly, keeping us cool. Inside, the home felt fresh and modern. We appreciated that it was a newer property, and the layout worked well for our family.
One of the biggest hits with our family was the jacuzzi. After hiking through Monteverde’s trails, it was the perfect way to unwind and relax. The Smart TV was also a great feature—our kids were able to stream their favorite movies, which gave the adults a chance to recharge too.
There were a few small areas where the experience could be improved. We would have appreciated a few extra towels, especially dedicated ones for the jacuzzi. It’s a minor detail, but it would’ve made things a bit more convenient. A toaster oven also would also be a nice additions we were unable to cook anything that required an oven. On the plus side, the extra ice trays, access to tea and coffee were a thoughtful touch and came in handy.
Overall, this property offers a great mix of comfort, location, and amenities. It’s ideal for families looking to explore Monteverde while enjoying a relaxing and well-equipped home base.

"The breakfast was amazing and staff were attentive and super helpful. The room was very comfortable and relaxing. The delicious cake and juice to welcome us was an added treat."
"We love our stay. It was only one night but very memorable with the friendly staffs and the welcoming gift basket. We feel like staying at a family's home. Would definitely plan for a longer stay in the future."
