"The sheets on the bed was dirty! And you could tell the bed had been slept in. The girl that that is supposed to clean pulled the comforter up and arranged the pillows. She doesn’t dust there was dust bad everywhere. The hot tub had been out of order for a while. And when we contacted the owner about the bed and the hot tub. Was told the girl would come and change the sheets she showed up 3 hours later at almost 10 pm. He stated the hot tub motor was burned up over the weekend. But you could tell it had been out of order for a while. And one of the towels smelled like mold. I booked here wanting to relax in the hot tub and enjoy a few days for my 50th birthday. Yes we relaxed. But didn’t have the hot tub like we planned. The downstairs shower had no water pressure."

"Hi!Can I just say that this place is amazing?! The house decor is spot on with the theme of lake getaway. The host was very responsive to questions and answered all my questions prior to arrival and while we were there. We went for a weekend getaway after the holidays with our 4 kids and they were all fighting over who got to sleep in the loft. There were plenty of rooms and bathrooms for all of us. In fact, there was a bed for everyone. It was so nice and cozy that no one asked for us to turn the TV on. They were constantly exploring something. The highlight was fishing off the heated boat slip during the winter. Would love to come back during the spring/summer to catfish at night. We enjoyed the small town feel of the surrounding areas and the idyllic shopping. The kids liked the pizza place in town called Goodfellas. I enjoyed the tea bar at the Local Farm to Table. My husband liked the One Eyed Monkey for a good burger. We could have spent more time at Har-Ber Village but did not plan to enjoy it that much! We randomly stopped by the Legacy of Liberty Memorial Park (almost could walk to it). The stories and equipment there are a sight to see. They even have a Higgins boat! What a wonderful getaway without the stress of the big city. We will definitely be back!"

Monkey Island Bungalow ~ Pool ~ Golf~ Dogs welcome

"If you enjoy doing absolutely nothing in a peaceful, quiet cozy bungalow, this place is perfect! Spouse and I needed a place to stay for a few days in the area, and this was an excellent pick! The kitchen was just what we needed. We loved the dishes provided, brown ceramic flatware. Very uppity...I like it!!! The couches were comfortable to sleep on. The bed seemed small but was comfortable. Bungalow had sufficient space for us and our two Siberian Husky dogs. We wanted quiet and peaceful and for the most part it was that. There were some people up on the corner left end that had music going loud on Friday night but we were able to sleep through it. The views in the morning were gorgeous. We did not rent this place to do anything and that's what we got. One of us left the property once to shop, but other than that we RnRed in the bungalow! The views from the hill are just gorgeous. It is hard to believe that you are in upstate Oklahoma because it could pass for upstate New England. Highly recommend this affordable pet friendly property if you needing one in the area. "
