We booked this hotel for 4 nights for our family, but unfortunately, the conditions were so poor and the hotel was so dirty that we simply could not continue our stay. After the first night, we contacted customer support. Even though we were told that a refund for the remaining 3 nights was not possible, we still decided to leave the hotel, accept the financial loss, and book another hotel for the rest of our stay. The cleanliness, condition of the room, and overall quality were far below what we would expect from any hotel. In our opinion, this property did not even meet the standards of a 2-star hotel. The fact that we preferred to lose the money for the remaining three nights and pay again for another hotel says enough about how disappointing our experience was.

Faros hotel was normal hotel, mainly clean, but the steet where Faros hotel is located is very durty place and durty peoples. The hotel should be 3 stars and not 4 stars!. With a rate of 7.5/10 max. About the breakfast it was to cheep! Below the normal with some items. After 7 days, I discovered that taksim square and istanbul in general are very durty places and also very expensive! People are very bad and not frendly at all! I don't recommend at all to make vacation in Istanbul.

Ich war mittlerweile schon öfter im Faros Hotel in Taksim und eigentlich immer sehr gerne, meistens sogar im selben Rooftop Zimmer. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das Personal: ausnahmslos alle Mitarbeiter waren jedes Mal äußerst freundlich, höflich, hilfsbereit und sehr zuvorkommend. Man fühlt sich menschlich wirklich willkommen. Leider ist mir in den letzten Jahren aber zunehmend aufgefallen, dass an einigen Dingen gespart wird, die früher selbstverständlich waren. Zum Beispiel fehlen mittlerweile die kleinen Hygieneartikel neben dem Waschbecken. Auch die Handtücher sind teilweise nicht mehr flauschig, sondern wirken schon recht abgenutzt. Was mich allerdings am meisten enttäuscht hat, war der Zustand des Badezimmers. An der Decke hat sich bereits Schimmel gebildet, was meiner Meinung nach absolut nicht zu einem 4 Sterne Hotel passt, vor allem nicht bei einem regulären Doppelzimmerpreis von rund 119 € pro Nacht. Sehr schade, denn das Hotel hatte für mich eigentlich immer einen guten Standard und viel Charme. Ich hoffe wirklich, dass hier wieder mehr auf Qualität und Instandhaltung geachtet wird, denn grundsätzlich komme ich gerne her und würde das Hotel auch weiterhin gerne guten Gewissens an Freunde und Bekannte weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank.

On approaching the Hotel , we were not impressed, the building next door was derelict. However, Hotel Faros itself was a well maintained building well decorated. The Hotel was clean and the room was slightly smaller than anticipated, but spotlessly clean, with a comfortable shower. The staff were wonderfully helpful and attentive. Breakfast was well laid out with Turkish breakfast fare. The location of the hotel is superb, once you get your bearings, it is literally 3 minutes walk from Taksim square. We would definitely stay again.

Oda yeterliydi, duş ve sıcak su mükemmeldi. Çarşaf gayet temizdi ancak havluda lekeler vardı. Oda zemininde bir önceki ziyaretçiden kalan saçlar vardı. Oda zeminindeki parke çok yıpranmış, yer yer aşınmıştı. Kahvaltı ve otel genel kullanım alanları gayet yeterli ve güzeldi.
