Rooms are so old, No teeth washs in the shower, the safe locker not fixed, lighting is bad, not all of the switchs lighting work , then we wait from 10 untill 2 pm to make check in

Quaint comfortable room with classic feeling furnishings. Helpful and attentive service, very good breakfast. Panoramic view from roof, but staff don't permit photos with interchangeable lens cameras "because the hotel is a designated historical site." And they said that status could be at risk if I was cought using my camera on the roof.

Superior service

The hotel was well located for the type of trip taken. Everything about the hotel was very good, with the exception of the excellent service. All hotel employees encountered were friendly and professional. Of particular note was the outstanding services provided by the front desk staff Some of the best service I've ever experienced at a hotel.

Very classic, well managed, good location hotel

Very classic, well managed, good location hotel. Their roof-top restaurant for the breakfast is one of the bests. The only shortcoming is a small room but enough for couples. Highly recommend.

Excellent location on cute little street, few minutes from Galata Tower and the main shopping street with shopping and lots of restaurants. Friendly staff that gave good recommendations for coffee and dessert nearby. Also, rooftop breakfast is very nice.

Great location, staff super friendly especially Omar in the breakfast area (5th floor). Omar was always trying to make us feel at home in so many ways! We really recommend the Meroddi Barnathan Hotel in the Gálata area of Istanbul.

Overnight stay in Meroddi Barnathan

My wife and I had an overnight stay at Meroddi on the way back from another trip. The hotel gave us a free upgrade to a Suite with amazing views of Galata and Istanbul. The staff were always very friendly and hardworking. We had a memorable stay and I would recommend this hotel if you want to be in the middle of the Istanbul action!

Everithing fine, friendly staff, beatiful breakfast on the rooftop , the area is very busy, bring some ear plugs because you could find someone singing in the middle of the night under the balcony like me but just one night, then everything was perfect, the hotel is beautiful.

Beautiful, elegant hotel, full of charm and you just can’t beat the location. A few minutes walk to Istaklal street, in one direction and to the Pier and tram (to get to mosques and bazaar) in opposite direction. Our room was beautifully decorated, spacious, with a beautiful bathroom but the room was lacking light with only two of the three lamps available working. There is no full length mirror in the room but staff kindly delivered one to our room upon request. Breakfast was located on the 5th floor which included outdoor terrace. The view from the terrace is just amazing! The breakfast buffet was generous and while most staff were friendly the woman behind the bar, with long black hair was extremely rude every single day!

Front desk staff were very helpful and tried their best to tend to all needs. Mehmet was a great help providing information and helping with check in and out. Cleaning staff need to be quieter as they start very early in the morning. We woke up around 7:00 am every morning because of the noise they were making and talking loudly considering that hallways were in marble and wood which make noises more vivid and transferable

Nuestra experiencia en el Meroddi Barnathan Hotel fue muy decepcionante. Antes de nuestra llegada me había puesto en contacto con el hotel para asegurarme de que la habitación reservada era una Suite Superior con vistas a la ciudad. Me lo confirmaron por correo electrónico. Sin embargo, al llegar nos asignaron una habitación en la segunda planta, sin vistas. Al reclamar, la recepción respondió de forma poco amable diciendo que “era una suite igualmente” y que “no se puede contentar a todo el mundo”. No se trata de hacerme feliz, sino de cumplir con lo contratado. Además, el hotel ofrece transfers al aeropuerto por 40 €, y eso fue exactamente lo que solicitamos en recepción. En lugar de gestionarlo, nos dijeron que un taxi costaba unos 45 € en efectivo o unos 49 € con tarjeta, y acto seguido afirmaron que el pago con tarjeta “no funcionaba”, proponiendo llamar a “un amigo” que esperara mientras íbamos a sacar dinero. Tuvimos que salir a la calle y pedir nosotros mismos un taxi, pagando con tarjeta sin ningún problema, lo que demuestra que la información facilitada por el hotel no era cierta ni profesional. Para rematar, al llegar al aeropuerto nos dimos cuenta de que habíamos olvidado una tarjeta de crédito en la habitación. Llamamos de inmediato; nos dijeron que lo comprobarían y que nos devolverían la llamada en diez minutos. Tres horas después, al volver a llamar, se limitaron a afirmar que “no había nada”. Estamos seguros que la dejamos sobre la mesita. Un Trato pesimo!
