Right location wrong hotel

Ideally situated in Sultanahmet. Our superior double room wasn’t superior. The drapes over the bed shown in photos were non existent as was the rug shown. We walked barefoot over lifting laminate floor with rough edges. The best part of our stay was the bathroom which had been refurbished and couldn’t be faulted. The rest of the hotel was tired and dated and in need for refurbishment.The advertised restaurant was closed except for breakfast. The breakfast was mediocre and limited. The coffee machine wasn’t working after the first day. The staff response was ‘problem’ accompanied by a shrug of her shoulders as she walked away. One of the staff sat smoking inside the restaurant by a partially open door. She was disinterested and actually went to sleep with her head on the table one morning. Her colleague did likewise the next day. We certainly didn’t feel particularly welcome. The reception staff were marginally better but nothing much. Disappointing to say the least

Right location, wrong hotel!

Great location With all the sights of Sultanahmet close by. Easy access to the Tram for going further afield. The bathroom was excellent and couldn't be faulted. Our superior double whilst clean wasn't anything special and was poorly furnished with a shabby coffee table and a mismatching TV console. The pictured drapes on the bed we're non existent as was the rug. Breakfast was very limited. The coffee machine wasn't working after the first morning. When I asked about it the woman working there shrugged and said 'problem'. End of. The hotel description said there was a restaurant. İt didn't say it wasn't serving anything more than breakfast. The staff on reception were helpful. The catering staff much less so. One spent her time playing with her mobile phone on speaker or sitting inside by the partly open terrace door smoking. One morning she was asleep with her head on the table. As we left this morning her colleague was asleep.

Muy bien ubicado con restaurantes y vías de comunicación muy cercanas, el hotel muy amables y siempre dispuestos a ayudar, la habitación muy amplia, las camas muy confortables, valdría la pena que arreglaran los closets pues a uno le faltaba una puerta y otro tenía las puertas detenidas con cinta adehesiva, también faltaban focos en lámparas y el piso de la regadera podrian limpiarlo para quitarle lo manchado. El desayuno el huevo siempre estuvo frío pero en general muy recomendable si vuelvo a ir a Estambul lo contrataría nuevamente.

Great location and large room.

Great location, just steps from the Topkapi Museum, Hagia Sophia, etc. The room for 4 was very large, like an apartment. Everything about it was good. The only things that could have been better - the bathroom fixtures needed tightening and the breakfast was good, but not as good as in other hotels in the area. Friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent hôtel

Très bon séjour à l’hôtel Alaturka Elegance ! Le gros point positif de cet hôtel est son personnel. Tous les membres de l’équipe sont très gentils, d’une grande sympathie et très serviables. Ils nous ont réservé nos excursions et taxis, et nous ont trouvé une solution de dernière minute lorsqu’une de nos réservations dans une autre ville de Turquie n’a pas fonctionné. Le lit est très confortable et l’hôtel est très propre de manière générale. Très belle vue sur la basilique Sainte-Sophie depuis la terrasse panoramique, sur laquelle nous prenions notre petit déjeuner. Petite réserve sur ce dernier qui était bon sans toutefois être exceptionnel. Parfaite localisation de l’hôtel entre la Mosquée Bleue et Sainte-Sophie. Palais de Topkapi à 2mn à pied, Grand Bazar et Mosquée Süleymaniye à 15 mn à pied. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel ! Personnel de grande confiance, nous avons oublié un de nos bagages qu’ils nous ont gardé précieusement jusqu’à notre retour à Istanbul quelques jours plus tard. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !

The location of the property and ease of walking to all sights important is fantastic. Tons of great places to eat and shop nearby. Bathrooms need a little updating and couple of working trash cans would have been nice. The front office staff are all great and very helpful. Breakfast ok. Greater selection of fresh fruits would have been nice.

Home away from home

Cela fait la deuxième fois que nous séjournons à Alaturka Elegance. La situation géographique de l’hôtel est idéal car il est dans le quartier historique. Le personnel est très sympa et la vue depuis la terrasse est magnifique. Nous reviendrons (encore et encore)!

Pros: 1. Very near Topkapi Palace 2. Nice view from hotel top but not so close to marmara sea 3. Nice reception, always there 24hrs. Breakfast lady also nice Cons: 1. Bed was too soft, aged and partly broken, I tot the bed was gonna collapse 2. Room small and quite aged 3. On our 2nd day there was a problem with hot water and it means the room heater also cannot function. Even our room has bath tub but we cannot enjoy it because the water was freezingly cold 4. Breakfast was just ok, nothing much. The alfresco restaurant was closed probably due to winter. So I did not enjoy it that much

Hyvä pieni vanha mojoituspaikka keskustassa.

Hyvä valinta, mikäli on lyhytkestoinen matka, muuten pitää valita arvokkaampi hotelli. Aamiainen on aika nihkeä. Hienot näkymät terassilta. Tilaava huone ja kylpäri kahdelle, mutta suihkun viemäri oli vähän epäkunnossa, ei vetänyt hyvin. Hyvät kalaruoat lähellä, mutta lukekaa ravintoloiden arvostellut ennen syömistä. Toinen paikka on hieno, ja toinen voi olla surkea. Wi-Fi oli hyvä.

The location of hotel was good but the service of staff was very bad.Payment for breakfast was paid but the staff refused to give us breakfast even up to 07:30 am before our early checkout time which is against our booking terms. Breakfast payment has been taken but breakfast was not provided .

Недооцененный осенний Истамбул

Очень понравился отель! Особенно месторасположение! Порадовали завтраки, удивительно не по турецки разнообразные, отличная домашняя выпечка!) Если оставить немного на чай горничной, то у Вас будут каждый день свежие простыни! Вид из кафе на крыше с утра!!!! Буду рекомендовать отель коллегам и друзьям! Отель находится на улице ресторанов.
