"This is a VERY nice property. I would say possibly nicer than any Hotel I've stayed in. It's more like a nice condo or apartment with a full kitchen, huge balcony that wraps around the building. It was basically like new inside and everything worked perfectly. Nothing negative to say about the place. The price was extremely low for what you get. The manager was incredibly nice and helpful. He even personally drove us to the airport because we were having trouble getting an Uber or a Taxi....

"The hotel was very nice, but the airport shuttle pickup location was not clearly marked and the pickup vehicle was not marked with Mercure on the front or left side where you could see it. The town was small with not much to do and no direct link to Basel. I regretted that we didn’t stay in Basel because at the Swiss exit of the airport there was a local bus ( number 50) that went up the Basel train station. In summary, the hotel was very good but location and transportation were not. "

"C était tellement calme que nous avons dormi jusqu'à 11heures du matin et largement dépassé l heure du petit déjeuner ! Malgré cela, l'hotelier nous a très gentillement permis de prendre le petit déjeuner qui était délicieux varié et frais. Un tout grand merci."

"Wir waren eine Nacht beruflich im Basel. Der Empfang ist freundlich, die Zimmer sehr gross und wir schätzen es sehr, wenn es noch eine Badewanne gibt. Die Betten sind für leichte Menschen ein wenig hart und man kann leider nicht ganz verdunkeln. Das nächste Mal würden wir ein Zimmer zur Rückseite wünschen. Am Wochenende ist doch Nachts einiges los vor der Türe und da helfen die Schallschutzfenster nur bedingt. Aber grundsätzlich ein sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel"

"Great location near the centre of Basel. Don’t get a room facing the street though as it’s crazy noisy early in the morning and there is a church bell that rings through the night. Also don’t book breakfast using hotels.com it’s cheaper to do it on site - don’t know why but you will save money. Rooms spacious and very clean. Coffee machine didn’t work and there is no kettle for tea. But there is a Starbucks 50m away."

"I was in Basel with friends for Eurovision. The city as a whole embraced the contest wholeheartedly, and the hotel really got into the spirit of things.
