Had a wonderful 3 days here. Madeleine and Ken, were excellent and helpful hosts, providing suggestions for walks, wineries and restaurants. The daily homemade breakfast was delicious and varied each day. We particularly loved the fresh homemade muffins and scones. Lovely touch to have access to complimentary snacks, fruit and drinks through the day as well. Great location, comfortable room and an easy walk into town.

The Inn on Columbia is a great choice for couples traveling to Ithaca. It is a lovely home and the room was very comfortable. Madeline's breakfasts were outstanding and we loved having Olive greet us in the morning! It's also a short walk down to the Commons where there's plenty of things to do. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time at The Inn on Columbia. Madeline and Kenn were wonderful hosts. We were visiting Ithaca College and the location was perfect. Breakfast was delicious and generous. We hope to return again someday.

The breakfast alone is worth a visit! Perfect location to access downtown commons and quick drives to the top nature areas and Cornell campus. This was our first visit to Ithaca and we will definitely return!

Wonderful

We had a great stay at the Inn on Columbia. The breakfast was wonderful, including fresh fruits and scones, and our host had an excellent selection of books to browse through. She was also very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and activities. The room was quiet and comfortable and the bathroom was clean and spacious. Thank you!

Did not really intend to reserve at B&B but glad I did. The Inn is very clean and tastefully decorated with countless thoughtful touches. I had complete privacy. Easy check in and in/out. Breakfast a sumptuous feast with all the variety one could desire. Madeline is a gracious host, warm and friendly in perfect balance.

Rent the Gazebo for a Secluded Getaway

We stayed overnight in the standalone, airy gazebo. Comes with a comfy firm king bed, soft sheets, a jet tub & a wet room shower. The ceiling is painted an airy blue & there are 2 sets of drapes to block the light & make you feel secluded. Comes with a wraparound porch & a rent-a-puppy named Olive. ♥️ We declined the puppy but said yes to a fabulous breakfast. (they didn’t actually offer the puppy to rent, but she’s a friendly little thing that made it feel like home.) Lots of good things. The only negative is that the tv is small & a little tough to see from bed (admittedly we are used to 55” or bigger). 10-min walk from Ithaca Commons & Restaurant Row. Wonderful hospitality!

The Inn on Columbia was fantastic. We stayed two evenings in this centrally located property in Ithaca. This was our first trip to Ithaca, Ken and Madeline were amazingly helpful. The breakfast is nothing short of phenomenal! All of the guests we met were very friendly and made for interesting morning conversations. The Inn is very comfortable, clean and you are made to feel welcome at all times.

The bed was comfortable and breakfast was absolutely amazing. The location is very walkable to dining and shopping. There are so many beautiful hikes in the area as well. We definitely would stay here again!

The hosts were truly hospitable. They gave us information about the area as well as made amazing breakfasts each morning. We loved hiking several trails with water falls in the Ithaca area. We also loved that we could walk into town.

Terrific people and food, meh condition of room.

Pros: People and Food Amazing hosts- super helpful, kind, accommodating. Great food, they even packed a take away breakfast for us when we left early to hike. Fresh flowers in the room. Love the uniqueness of the gazebo. Cons: Power issues for CPAP and condition of room 1. The power in the room was motion sensitive so CPAP kept switching off all night. Tried a fix offered by host for night #2 (used different outlet per hosts directions) but it still happened. 2. Shade for the skylight over the bed is very dirty with cobwebs, dust and insects on it. 3. Bathroom has a DIY feel: cracked molding around tub, odd faucet in sink. Ends so close to the front lip of the sink that you get splashed really easily just washing your hands. 4. No shower door in room w/toilet so the whole little room gets wet when you shower. 5.The gazebo is bright and pretty during the day but it does not offer blackout curtains so morning starts EARLY. 6. AC is in the closet with boxfan used to blow cold air out. Just cosmetic, the room was cool and comfy, but feels odd and piecemeal. All in all, expected more polish for the money.

We had to the most wonderful time at Inn on Columbia!! Our hosts were amazing, incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The carriage house was perfect. We highly recommend.
