"This was our first time visiting Pulgia and we found the Trullo tranquil and exactly as represented in the photos. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds comfortable. We also had great access to WIFI and my husband was able to watch the Chicago Cubs try again for the World Series and I was able to attend my Zoom class while sipping brandy in the security of a sweetly restored historic dwelling. The region is magical with landscapes of trulli, vineyards, olive groves. We enjoyed great lunches in neighboring villages with great local wines and helpful people. Many thanks to Richard and his kindness and attention. A car is a must to enjoy the area and it is recommended to use a car that is nimble and a driver able to navigate the countryside. "

"The property was lovely but smaller than we anticipated - I would say that if more than two people were staying, a few days' stay would be perfect.The host Eligio was wonderful and kept in contact with us throughout our stay to make sure everything was good, even providing us with nice unexpected presents! The welcome basket and wine was also lovely especially as we arrived late due to a delayed flight! He also provided us with a list of places to visit prior to arrival which helped in our planning of the holiday.The property would benefit from some comfortable seating for the evening - while it was nice sitting outside at the table, having a more comfortable area to sit in would make a big difference.Overall we had a lovely stay and thanks again to Eligio for his hospitality!"

"Beautiful location. The Trullos are unique. Sleeping under a dome is very relaxing. The bedrooms could do with more shelving. Had to leave clothes in luggages on the floor. In the off season, each individual Trullo pool is unheated. I was still able to swim my laps in 20 degrees water. Quite invigorating! Others might not venture at this temperature. The daily included breakfasts were delicious and very healthy. A car is essential as this is true Puglia country living. Expect drive at least 10 minutes to find a nearby restaurant. A golf cart comes with your Trullo rental. It is a 3-4 minute drive from the parking lot to my Trullo. A most unique countryside experience. Do not expect a front desk or guest services. That is part of the charm. Very off the beaten path. Interesting concept! A very beautiful property. "

"The photos of Angelita's home and the general information about the very charming and welcoming town of Cisternino do not do justice to this vacation rental! My husband and I and our two friends loved it! Overall, there is a serenity and a sense of place at Casa Cecca that is timeless. The high ceilings and cool tiled floors make it a perfect summertime outdoor/indoor space. The eat in kitchen is compact, yet workable, although a microwave would be a welcome addition to the stove top and toaster oven. There is only one washroom, but it is beautifully remodelled and has a luxurious rainhead shower. During the day and on fine evenings the long wooden table under a pergola in the backyard is perfect for apero and alfresco meals. There are plenty of chairs and loungers!The jacuzzi was not much in use as our mid to late September days were cooler and we were routinely touring all the notable "white cities" as well as nearby beach and historic towns. We travelled to Ostuni, Alborobella, Locotorondo, Bari, Porto Caesarea, Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, Lecce, and Matera. Phenomenal day trips, great food, and history lessons, galore! Staying in the area of those special structures, the Trulli, was a daily delight!Angelita was a very caring and responsive host, and always addressed any concerns or requests that we expressed. Overall, we had great Apulian wine and food experiences, met lovely locals, and enjoyed being a short uphill walk from our comfortable home to Cisternino."

"On arrival no one advised regarding an issue with the swimming pool. We were shocked to go to it and find the pool bright green in colour. We enquired at reception and were advised the pool was being tested routinely and it was safe for guests to use. Staff advised it had been like that for 6 days and was due to grass cuttings blowing into the pool. We did not use the pool as we had safety concerns. The next day I asked to speak to the hotel Director regarding my concerns but he was not on site and reception staff did not know when he would visit next. I asked if the hotel had informed the ASL (local health authority) of the bright green pool issue and the fact that it was open for use but I did not receive an answer. I suggested the pool needed to be closed for guest safety, a notice informing guests of the issue and further testing for bacteria. Within an hour my suggestions were implemented and they starting to drain the pool. I never did get to use the pool during my 4 day stay and I never did get to speak to the Hotel Director about the issue. The hotel itself is in a beautiful setting and the guest facing staff extremely pleasant. Actions by Hotel Management in responding to the bright green pool issue was not to my personal standard as in my view guest safety is their highest priority. The trip was spoiled not so much by the lack of use of the swimming pool (mistakes do happen) but the response to the issue and lack of availability to Hotel Management."

"We had such a wonderful two week stay in this lovely house. Beautiful pool and views in a very peaceful rural setting. Loved visiting all the hilltop towns, fantastic food and the sea. Tracey (the owner) provided so many wonderful and personal recommendations, including restaurants, local shopping, preferred beaches etc - many of which we followed and were all excellent. Highlights included Matera, boat trips, a wonderful small restaurant in Martina Franca, shopping in Cisternino, Ostuni and more!"

"The location was perfect for visiting all the main towns in Puglia. It was great to have safe parking as parking in the towns was very difficult. As 3 retired travellers, we enjoyed the experience of staying in a trullo and the whole property was outstanding. The pool was very welcome after hot days travelling. Angela, husband Pino and their daughter Dilletta were very obliging and helpful.Our only suggestion would be perhaps a few more basic supplies ( eg. tea, coffee, milk) would be appreciated as breakfast was an extra cost.Overall, a great experience and highly recommended. "
