"For a motel, I thought it was an excellent choice.. I liked my room and the services and amenities provided were great!! I did not use the pool, but I might do that on future visits. For someone that does not drive, thr Stargazer Hotel conveniently located to Downtown Monterey, the Del Monte Shopping center, and it's a great spot to stay at if you want to take public transportation to Carmel. I'll definitely return, maybe later this year or next year!!"

"The location is excellent, but the rooms are in desperate need of updating and a good deep cleaning. I could hear everyone walking outside and every time anyone used the stairs, and the person smoking outside might as well have been smoking inside my room for how bad it smelled immediately. The staff is friendly and helpful, and it was fine to stay just for a night or two, but I probably won't book there again. "

"The room was clean and pool was great! The hotel is very centrally located. Our only complaints are the water temp for the shower wasn’t easily regulated, the breakfast service was slow despite not many people eating and we were unaware of additional parking fees of $17/night."
