Nestled hillside of one Jaco’s biggest attractions Villa Mariposa is a unique architectural gem. It boasts unparalleled views of the entire coast and skyline of Jaco with picturesque sunsets every night - a view is unreplicated anywhere else in the surrounding area. We are located at the foot of the mountain and our close proximity to the beach means you can hear the waves crashing every morning.

There are no neighbours (so noise is no issue) but there are plenty of visits from wildlife. The toucans are known to fly right up to the bedroom windows and there are often monkey sightings directly from the infinity pool.

It was a successful bed and breakfast for
many years and a sought after vacation rental. Now under new ownership, it now has been completely updated & renovated and has all the amenities and comforts of home. The kitchen has all brand new stainless appliances and is complemented by our custom 13ft. wood dining table which qcomfortably seats large groups. There is a fast Wi-Fi , 75 in flat screen w/ Netflix, a waterfall, pool table & brand new air conditioning units in all rooms.

The Miro Mountain hiking trail is an ecological gem. Photographers and nature lovers flock to this popular location which consists of a groomed trail that leads to abandoned ruins that have been decorated over the years with colourful art from international and local artists. On the path, it is common to encounter monkeys, toucans, macaws, frogs, iguanas and much more amazing nature.

❗️We are at the very beginning of the hiking trail and the road entering the mountain is paved and 4 x 4 is not needed. There is designated parking but it can cumbersome if there are many vehicles so limit yourselves to 2 cars max
