Chalet Lo Grané - Four Bedroom Chalet, Sleeps 8
Cocoonr/Book&Pay agency offers this charming chalet for rent in the town of Jarrier, with breathtaking views of the mountains. It is air-conditioned, has a surface area of 60 m², and can accommodate up to 8 guests. It comprises a lovely 300 sq ft living room, an open-plan equipped kitchen, four beautiful bedrooms, a bathroom, and large terraces with panoramic views. Fiber optic WiFi is included, so all you need to do is come and enjoy the mountain air with family or friends!
The accommodation is laid out as follows:
On the ground floor:
- A 28 m² living room with TV (connected to fiber optics and Canal +), sofas, and dining area.
- An open-plan kitchen equipped with: electric kettle, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, hob, crepe maker, filter coffee machine, and a SENSEO coffee machine (pods not provided).
- A closed but unheated veranda of approximately 12 m² with a 3-seater sofa, a table and a coat rack for drying ski clothes, and a small locked room for storing suitcases and ski equipment.
- A laundry room with washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron.
Upstairs:
- Bedroom 1: a double bed (140×190), a TV, and a small dressing room.
- Bedroom 2: a double bed (140×190), a TV, and a wardrobe.
- A bathroom with a shower.
- Separate toilet.
Under the eaves:
- Bedroom 3: one double bed (140×190) and one TV.
- Bedroom 4: two single beds and one TV.
You can also enjoy the following amenities: a travel cot, a baby booster seat, a multifunction appliance (stone grill, crepe maker, raclette grill, etc.), a fondue set, and a sandwich maker.
Outside:
- A first terrace on the ground floor of approximately 60 m², facing southeast, part of which is covered to house a wood-fired oven.
- A second terrace at the level of the bedrooms and parking lot of approximately 36 m² with furniture to enjoy sunny days.
The house is ideally located in Jarrier, in a very pleasant and quiet environment. You can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Saint Jean de Maurienne valley. In Saint Jean de Maurienne, you will find all the essential shops as well as boutiques, restaurants, bars, a market, and more.
Activities:
Jarrier is a mountain village located on the balconies of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, where 27 hamlets are organized around ovens, chapels, and oratories. From this charming village, you can enjoy many activities and discover the endemic flora and fauna.
Hiking or mountain biking (one of the largest cycling areas in the world (Télégraphe, Galibier, Lautaret, Croix de Fer, Glandon, Iseran, Mont Cenis, Mollard, Madeleine, Chaussy and the Montvernier hairpin bends), you can criss-cross the mountain passes, keeping your eyes peeled for marmots, chamois, eagles and vultures mingling with the landscape.
Ski enthusiasts will find what they are looking for just a few kilometers from the accommodation.
In winter, there is a snowfield for sledding directly from the chalet. Snowshoeing, ski touring, and hiking trails start from the chalet on marked trails. Orienteering circuits start 100 m away.
Transportation:
If you choose to come by car, you can park directly in the private parking lot in front of the chalet, which is accessible to all types of vehicles (maximum 5 vehicles) except during snowy periods. (It is strongly recommended to park on the side of the municipal road during snowy periods. Never drive down if snow is forecast and the private road is snow-covered (impossible to drive back up).
For other modes of transport, here is some information that may be useful:
- Nearest train station: Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne station, about 20 minutes away by car.
- Nearest airport: Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc airport, about 1 hour and 10 minutes away by car.
Other comments:
- In case of snow, it is impossible to drive down to the chalet (70 m on foot).
- Electric convector heaters and reversible air conditioning for heating the bedrooms. The living room is heated by a pellet stove and reversible air conditioning.
- Pets are allowed for an additional fee of €15/stay (only one pet allowed), please specify when booking.
- Bed linen and towels are not included, please bring your own.
- You are responsible for cleaning at the end of your stay. (Or for an additional fee of €80, payable to our service provider on site).
- A key box is available for late arrivals.
