The house was very well appointed. Large, comfortable furniture. Beautiful view from the very top of the mountain. (Bring your truck or 4WD vehicle for sure). Deck area is large and perfect for cool, early relaxing mornings. Not too far from the town of Jasper which has some great places to eat (don’t miss Sidelines Cafe). Overall a great value for the money and well worth a visit. PRO TIP: Make sure you input the 799 Steve Tate Parkway address into your GPS vs the actual house address. This will get you to the correct gate and into the subdivision.
Absolutely beautiful views. The pictures do not do it justice.

The cabin was very clean. The pictures make the cabin look bigger than it was. The view is breath taking. Make sure you go to Big Canoe north gate and not follow GPS. Property Management first said they do not provide laundry detergent due to allergies and then turned around and asked if we received the welcome bag which had a packet of laundry detergent in it. We had no idea to look for a welcome bag. Communication was not the best. Make sure to get food before going to the cabin. The drive is scary if not used to mountains/inclines. Drive SLOW.
The home was beautiful and the view was amazing. Arrived prior to the start of the snow and stayed put for 3 nights. Plenty of fire wood for the wood burning stove and ample space in the kitchen. It was exactly the weekend getaway we were looking for to reconnect as a family over a deck of cards and football on the tv.
We really enjoyed getting away! The place was beautiful! Very well decorated. Roomy, beautiful!
Our only concern was the smoke detector in the kitchen was laying on the bar with the batteries out of it. We went to Home Depot and bought another smoke detector. Then Sunday, one of the smoke detectors downstairs started alerting for a low battery. That was a scary way to wake up.
Other than that, everything was great!
View was outstanding. Living space spacious and beds comfortable.
Disappointment with the property management company. Had a few issues. Kitchen was okay stocked and a little disorganized . No extras like spices etc. so bring your own. Deck big and lots of furniture. Overall great time. Cleanliness rating only a little lower because of kitchen. Circular driveway great for multiple cars.
Having paid for an early arrival we had access to the property the night before we were to check in. Upon entree we were meet with a repulsive odor in the house. Next the linens were just wadded up and tossed into closets. In the guest bedroom the owner was storing his dirty tennis shoes on the wadded linens. Everything about the house was just old, worn out and thrown together. After seeing the property we informed the host we could not stay there and requested a refund. The host reached out two days later to say they had sent someone out and re-cleaned the property. That we could return to the property that afternoon, I checked and nothing had been done. It has become obvious to me that the host has little interest is trying to make this right with us. It appears it’s all about collecting the rent and doing the bare minimum they can get by with. When asked they simply stand by the contract the renter signs which leaves little room for compromise. We were forced to rent another property to complete our time in the mountains. What a disappointment this whole experience has been.Renter beware!

Amazing Getaway
My boyfriend and I loved this house for a relaxing weekend getaway! The views were absolutely beautiful and we loved Big Canoe. The house was beautiful and so quiet and peaceful. We loved sitting out on the porch and admiring the view. It was clean as well which was great. It was difficult to find, and we did not get a check in email until after we were there and had to stay on hold with the rental company for a little bit to speak to someone. The communication from the company could be better. Also, the grill was out of gas so we didn’t get to use it. However, we loved the house itself and had an amazing time. If you are staying here, be sure to bring your own coffee pods for the Keurig. Also be sure to get all groceries before entering Big Canoe as it’s a haul to get to a store from the house. We would definitely recommend this beautiful cabin if you’re looking to relax and disconnect from reality. We had an amazing time.
Overall experience was really good.
Disappointed in the bed situation as 2nd bedroom is listed as a Queen and it was really a Double. This made our stay less than comfortable for quests.
Kitchen was pretty well equipped for holiday use- could use a few more coffee mugs and forks. Could leave whole rolls of toilet paper rather than the small partials that we had.
Pretty place with beautiful vistas and sunsets. we enjoyed our time here.
We had a great experience at this house for a long weekend. My wife didn’t want to leave. We loved sitting on the huge back porch every morning having coffee watching the leaves change every day. You can see for miles on top of this ridge. We spent they day in nearby towns such as Elijay, Hiawassee, Helen, Cleveland, Dawsonville, and Blue Ridge. This house sits in the middle of all these locations with 30 min to hour drive. Lots of room and nicely decorated. Love this house and plan to come back next year..
We loved this cabin! Very open, but still has a cozy feel. Views from the back of the house and especially the deck are incredible. The house is on a ridge, so you can walk for 15 min or so on flat-ish terrain if you have a pet. We had everything we needed. Thank you! We defintely want to come back!
Property was just a described and quite lovely. Would highly recommend - quiet - just what the doctor ordered. View is extraordinary, and on a clear day you can see Atlanta skyline with binoculars.
Nice house. Three bedrooms and each has an attached bathroom. It's located on a fairly flat section of a high ridge and has a long-range view. Most Big Canoe amenities are about a 10 minute drive down the mountain. We enjoyed our stay.
The cabin was well decorated. We enjoyed our stay.
We had an issue with one the lights. We had to climb on the bed to get the lights on. That was hard at 68. It would be nice if the 1st & 2 steps of the outside walkway had more handrail near drive way and a ramp at the beginning. I had a hard time reaching the rail from the driveway going to the front door. If their was a ramp it would accommodate a wheel chair or walker to the front door. Those beginning outside steps were hard for someone who can't walk well.
This home was beautiful, well decorated and roomy. The house is very private and the greatest feature by far is the view and the amazing porch. Great for enjoying a glass of wine.
Comfortable home, tremendous view, cabin in the woods feel.

Needs TLC !
This is a very nice cabin, just needs some up keep. The outside of the cabin needs to be swept, tons of spider webs and HUGE spiders everywhere. The screened in porch had a broken door. The master bedroom light didn't work. The master/ upstairs bathroom had a towel bar hanging off the wall. On the positive, the views were amazing! I enjoyed having my morning coffee in the rocking chairs looking out at the mountains.
Ready to go back! It was great that this place is pet friendly as well for those that prefer to travel with them. Absolutely gorgeous view. Very peaceful too
