Great location but……

This should be a really good hotel. The location is amazing, 10 minutes walk to the Old City and the bar and restaurant area. The rooms are great, in size and comfort and the bathroom large and well equipped. It has a great roof terrace. But….We had so many things go wrong. The TV never really worked in the 3 nights we were there. More importantly the lift broke, unfortunately on Shabbat, which meant no one could fix it for two days. Our room was on the 5th floor which is fine if you are fit. The noise at rush hour from the road is very loud as the junction nearby is a mess (like most of Jerusalem traffic) but it was ok later at night. There is no free parking nearby although there are some underground car parks nearby which you can pay for. Overall the location, quality of room and price made up for the problems but it could easily make things better.

Very disappointing hotel with small rooms and an obscure entrance. It took our taxi 30 minutes to locate the hotel entrance. Poor and very unresponsive staff. We sent emails three days before arrival and got no response. Phone number under Contact Us is wrong. We had no hot water on day 1 (it was 4”C) and the internet did not work for the entire three days. No one manages the front desk. There is no security and the main door to the building and the hotel on 2nd floor are open at all times. Felt very unsafe. No one checked us in on arrival or did any ID check. The rooms were left open for us when we arrived and we never met any hotel staff until checkout three days later. Terrible experience.

Very ran down building. Not a pleasant welcome experience. Checked in after 5 and there was no one at the reception. Room is nicely appointed but TV was not working at all. Do not recommend it.

Great location, comfortable and clean!

I love staying at the David Story Hotel. It is perfectly located, very clean, and exceptonially friendly staff. It is a boutique hotel so I feel like I am 'at home' whenever I stay there. Any hotel near there is twice the price.

Location is great, right near Mamila mall. Plenty of shopping and dining nearby. Room was clean, and bed was great; nice amenities, too. The room overlooked a construction site, which detracted from our experience. Also, the room needed a paint job - there were places where the paint was chipped off. The lock needed to be lubricated. And the light switches were hard to decipher. Overall, a good experience, but not top-notch - but it was definitely a good value for the price!

Property looked nothing like the pictures. No front desk no cleaning staff. The only way to get through to them is through WhatsApp couldn’t speak English and when we confronted them they were extremely rude. It was horrible. I wish I could give it a zero.
