The unit was very unique property full of interesting and stimulating artwork. It was very quiet with ample parking. I would definitely stay there again if I went to Jim Thorpe.
Our trip to Jim Thorpe was accented by this amazing property. We can't wait to come back and bring the kids. The Loft is perfectly appointed and a really cool setting to come "home" to after enjoying the culture, food, and activities the town has to offer. Cafe Arielle, just downstairs, has really good food and service. Don't miss the museum downstairs too!
Lovely, unique loft with plenty of character. It was hard to get my kids to leave because they just wanted to enjoy the loft. We didn’t mind it since it gave us a chance “adult” around town : )
Joan and Victor have a beautiful home in Jim Thorpe and we are so happy that we were able to stay in their loft for our anniversary weekend! The loft is a unique space and so comfortable and so close to town. We had dinner reservations in the restaurant below the loft which was a fantastic meal with the best wait staff! Walked into town, biked the trails and shopped in town! Beautiful amazing weekend! Thanks again Joan and Victor we will definitely recommend your loft, restaurant and art museum to anyone!
The host was very welcoming. The loft was very cozy during a snowy weekend stay, the place was very clean, and it was a close walk to lots to do in the center of Jim Thorpe. Thank you!
Excellent stay, unique apartment, beautiful art, large open kitchen, beware that if you park on the street you will get a 50 parking ticket, the rental has a parking lot.
We had a wonderful stay at Joan’s loft! The space itself is so cozy and beautiful. We enjoyed the open layout and spa like bathroom. The loft was very bright and I could’ve spent the whole day in the stunning kitchen. My daughters loved the upstairs sleeping area, the piano, and the various family games. Check in and check out were a breeze & location was great. Would love to stay here again in the future!
The loft/apartment exceeded our expectations. Just beautiful, creative, refreshing and relaxing. My girlfriends from college get together every yr. We enjoyed being close to town and daily adventures. We opened a window and could hear an amazing jazz trio playing in the jazz bar. Everyone the owners Joanne & Victor and their employees were so friendly, accommodating and laid back. We will go back!!!
Thanks you for sharing your fun property with us. Three ladies for a 50 birthday weekend. We loved that we could walk everywhere in town. Jim Thorpe was very cool too.
Myself, my boyfriend and good friend of ours traveled to Jim Thorpe to celebrate my birthday. Our stay was amazing. We enjoyed the loft and viewing all of the artwork there and in the gallery. Everything was as described and went beyond our expectations. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We plan to come back again!
Great Location, Quite Area, Walking Distance to all of Jim Thorp. Restaurant on location. Great Food and Service. Dinner and Comedy Show Friday Night, Whitewater Raft Saturday with Dinner and Drinks afterwards, and Biked Sunday. Eventful Great Weekend in Jim Thorp Again. I cant wait to stay at this property again
I found the only place i would wanna stay in Jim Thorpe. It’s an expansive loft housed in an old wire rope factory, which also houses an awesome restaurant/cafe (we were able to order food from here) and an art gallery (soo much to look at) The loft was covered in art and in itself a work of art. The bathroom is beautifully designed! Sounds silly…but, def wanna check it out when you arrive! Pup friendly and family friendly and suuuper clean. (we have 2 kids and 2 pups) Getting up to the loft requires some stairs. We don’t mind stairs…some might. Personable and friendly hosts We definitely will be returning.

Refreshing Get-Away
We have stayed in Jim Thorpe on numerous occasions. This was our first time staying at The Loft, but it won't be our last! This place is phenomenal. Joan accommodated our late arrival and even provided us with a full tour of the Loft, the Gallery and the Flow Restaurant. We hope the restaurant will be open for business on our next visit.
The Loft was clean and had everything we needed for our get-away. We were able to store our bikes safely in the Mud Room. The evening we arrived was a bit chilly, Joan had created a warm and cozy environment by starting the pellet stove and gas heater. She provided us with complete instructions on how to operate everything we needed.
We will be back! And we will definitely recommend this place to all our friends!
Our stay was overall enjoyable and memorable. The hostess was exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering us excellent suggestions for local excursions and making us feel very welcome. The loft itself was charming—open, full of character, and beautifully decorated with art. Its unique aesthetic and interesting location made it stand out from other rentals we’ve visited. Parking was also easy and convenient, which we appreciated. That said, there were several aspects that could use improvement. The quality of the amenities felt below par; for instance, the coffee maker seemed pieced together from various parts, and there was some noticeable dust and dirt around. Most importantly, the mattresses were extremely uncomfortable—either rock-hard or uneven—which made sleeping difficult. This really detracted from the experience, as restful sleep is such a key part of any stay. Additionally, we noticed the absence of basic items like soap and shampoo in the bathroom, which are typically standard in most rentals. With just a bit more attention to comfort and detail—especially regarding the beds and basic amenities—this could easily be a high-end, truly exceptional place to stay. As it stands, we were content overall, but we do hope to see these improvements made in the future.
What started as a search for a place "just to stay" for a last-minute Birthday getaway to explore downtown Jim Thorpe became the main attraction. Joan and Victor have one of the most unique and amazing properties we've ever stayed in. The Loft was outstanding. High end finishes and amazing detail and character. Cafe Arielle was tremendous with delicious food and cocktails. Victor's Art Gallery and Museum was absolutely stunning. I'm no art buff but I absolutely couldn't take my eyes off of his amazing work. The best part (pure dumb luck on our part) is the night we arrived, Joan and Victor were hosting a Jazz performance by an amazing (and apparantly Grammy nominated) trio of musicians in their intimate performance space. Joan and Victor's passion for what they do is infectious and we're so glad we had the chance to meet them. It all led to a weekend we'll never forget, and we can't wait to go back to visit them again!
This rental exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect - free parking, walking distance to downtown, and right above an incredible restaurant and art gallery! The rental itself was absolutely superb. The charm, amenities, overall size, and upgraded bathroom were all excellent as well. The renters went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect and we really enjoyed meeting them. We will definitely be returning to this property in the future.
