I had a great stay at Laguna Praia. For me, during the hotter months, a good AC and good shower really help the experience. Laguna had both. Friendly staff, great breakfast, and laundry service (extra fee) were extra nice. Two things to consider - bed is on the firmer side (I slept fine) and you’re steps away from beach walk so there can be some people noise at night (which was fine for me). Overall, wonderful stay in JP at Laguna.

The hotel is nice and well located. The main feature, the reason why I booked it, and in fact the picture on my reservation is the rooftop pool that was closed for maintenance. I would not have stayed there if I knew about. Staff was no helpful and just told me Expedia knew about the maintenance. Overall, staff (excluding the nice people working at the restaurant) was a major problem. I was barely greated cordially, I was not acknowledge as gold member or offered any perks for being one. I was neither offer any compensation for the pool closure. Quite frankly, I do not see the point of being a good member.

Our recent stay in this property was terrible from the start. We arrived shortly after midnight due to a flight cancellation. We were not made aware of the fact that a failed water pump on the property caused a loss of water service to the entire hotel (one of several water interruptions during our stay). To be clear, this was not an interruption in water service by the city. This was the result of a pump failure in the hotel. Upon arriving to our room after a long travel day, someone uses the bathroom only to find out that the toilet doesn’t flush and the fan in the bathroom is broken. The toilet tanks are not accessible so what is there remains until water is restored. The room photos do a masterful job of overselling outdated, worn furniture, uncomfortable beds and linens, etc. The pool pump is barely functional at best resulting in cloudy grey water filled with floating chunks of presumably sand and dirt. We scheduled a meeting with the manager to discuss our dissatisfaction. The manager arrived 45 minutes late, shrugged his shoulders, and said “sorry for the inconvenience, there is nothing we can do.” That day, we returned to our room after touring the area all day to get ready for dinner, and again - no water. That said, the hotel is in a great location and the restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful. For those who are familiar, think of this property as a Motel 6 in a great beach location. If you have that in mind when you arrive, you’ll be satisfied.

Bom custo-benefício e bom café da manhã

O hotel fica muito bem localizado! O café da manhã possui muitas opções e bastante variedade, além de tapiocas sendo feitas na hora (o ponto alto). A praia fica a poucos passos do hotel, assim como está próximo da feira de artesanato e do MAP. Os funcionários do checkin e da recepção são cordiais mas longe de serem simpáticos. Outro ponto foi o cheiro de um dos quartos que apesar de novos estava com leve cheiro de mofo (mas o outro quarto estava impecável e sem cheiro).

Decepcionante!

Quando vamos escolher um hotel, observamos, dentre outros, acomodações, localização, avaliações, fotos do café da manhã. Vou falar especificamente sobre esse último. Tinha ouvido falar bem sobre o café da manhã do hotel. Então, nos hospedamos nele e combinamos de tomar o café da manhã do dia dos pais em família. Mas para minha triste surpresa, ao chegar no café (por volta das 09:00) tinha apenas uns 2 tipos de fruta, uns pedacinhos de bolo, pão, pão, pão e ovo mexido. Aquela mesa farta com croissants, folhados, sonhos, bolos recheados …. Não tinha mais NADA! O hotel abriu para visitantes (cobrando a taxa de 49,00 por pessoa) e esqueceu dos hóspedes. Resultado: fila enorme para entrar no café da manhã (mesmo hóspede) e fim das comidas. Ficamos a ver navio! Uma enorme falta de consideração com quem pagou pela diária e se programou para tomar um belo café da manhã. Reclamamos e o que ouvi da funcionária é que “as pessoas comeram demais”. O que acho é que a ganância de ganhar mais e mais reinou.

um péssimo atendimento, porém, um excelente hotel.

O único inconveniente que houve foi que, na quinta-feira, dia 26, solicitei ao atendente da recepção, um reparo para a ducha higiênica, pois a torneira estava com vazamento. O atendente não deu a mínima, e não tomou nenhuma providência, deixando o banheiro do meu quarto, sempre molhado, por incompetência do atendente.

Boas instalações. Quartos amplos e chuveiro bom. Localização perfeita. Piscina e área externa agradável na cobertura. Área social interna bem arrumada. Pode melhorar: janelas precisam isolamento acústico melhor, disponibilizarem copos no apartamento, fazerem a reposição diária de sabonetes no banheiro. Cama (irregular) e travesseiros (altos e densos demais) eram bem desconfortáveis. Faz falta uma poltrona no apartamento. O café-da-manhã (razoável), perto do horário do término (30' antes), fica totalmente sem reposição, principalmente dos sucos.
