"Room not clean"

"We arrived to check in pretty late at night. Went to our room to find it was NOT as advertised (we are a large family traveling with kids and needed a room with multiple beds). It was also very dirty (mirrors were disgusting, floor hadnt been vacuumed or swept, hair in the bathtub, etc) Front desk upgraded us to a suite (which was great!) only to open the door and find it hadn’t been cleaned from previous tenants. Dirty dishes on counters, slept in beds, garbage, used towels, etc. So after the 2nd room change, they finally put our large group in 2 rooms which worked out ok though not ideal. They were rooms by each other but not adjourning rooms. The staff did everything they could to try and make it right despite the late hour and lots of tired, cranky kids from long travel-which we appreciated! However, housekeeping walked in on us still in our rooms before checking out (awkward as we were all showering from the pool) and front desk personnel checking out didn’t know what rooms we had occupied and seemed very confused and irritated so it seems things didn’t transition over after the late night room juggle. The breakfast was great with variety and was clean and well stocked. Pool was small and very cold, but kids didn’t mind too much. Lesson learned: check out rooms BEFORE unloading the whole crew and belongings."

"Had to ask repeatedly for fresh sheets and bath towels and they finally cleaned the room after 3 days of requesting it. Even hung the sign up for service but it got ignored. We were the only room that had a car there for 5 days and they couldn’t even get our room cleaned even when we called for service day after day. Just excuses on why they didn’t check it. Always had an excuse for everything. No a/c like advertised. No view of the bay unless you walk outside and go to the side of the building but room was sold as if it had a view with a/c but did not. Run down rooms, towels looked dirty and sheets were grayish from being old. Card got hacked with multiple weird unauthorized charges as soon as they swiped it. Never again will we stay there."

"We opted to spend a little more to get a room with a "kitchenette". It had a working stove and a full fridge and coffee maker. It did not have any pots or pans to use on the stove. It was nice that it had a kitchen table and a separate bedroom. It was right next to the maintenance/laundry room. An open bin of trash was right outside the door and our place had a lot of flies. The floors weren't clean, especially under the bed. While I would likely stay at this property again (it's cheap!), I would not spend the extra money on a room like this."

"Family of seven for Mother’s Day’s weekend. We were grateful for how close it was to the dunes. The location of the house isn’t the greatest…. it is surrounded by trailers. There is a grocery store down the street which is convenient. Cute decorations throughout. Unfortunately, the house was filthy. Hasn’t been deep cleaned in years. I would fire your house cleaners. Unacceptable for the amount of money people spend. Toilets disgusting, shower mats moldy with hairs. Underwear left behind the dresser… all the window seals needed cleaning. Not enough linens for seven… extra sheets and towels would be nice. Laundry on a three day vacation shouldn’t be needed. The garage parking advertised should not exist. Probably wouldn’t fit most cars. Outdoor furniture provided were covered in spider webs… the bbq provided is foul. I do hope this gets to the owner of the property."
