"This beautiful hotel would benefit from having a ‘Scottish ‘theme to it . Obviously this is just a personal view, but its attempt to modernise has removed the authentic character of the building. The dining room felt rather like a school dining room with tables lined up in exact straight rows. No table cloths, no curtains, just blinds which made the room very noisy & rather unwelcoming. "

"Hotel stay was in connection with a catteract operation. Luckily we had a disabled parking badge as it would have been difficult to park without one at either the hotel or joined hospital. Many people parking on double yellow lines and dangerous places. Hotel was a bit basic but clean and good quality linen. We were facing the Clyde and there was an off smell which we were told was from the river. "

"The hotel isn't at the airport it's about 6 miles from the airport.It is situated right behind ikea at Braehead.I should have taken more note of the address.The hotel staff were pleasant.The lift was broken we arrived, but it was fixed the next day.It spoiled our stay as we were to meet people arriving at Glasgow airport.The good thing about this hotel is the car parking is free."

"As soon as we walked in the door we felt very welcome. The front desk staff were both extremely helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Our room was clean and comfortable. Had very delicious meals in the restaurant. Breakfast is a great deal for guests and I would advise you make a reservation for dinner as it is a very popular spot for the locals - with good reason, food was excellent! The wait staff are very attentive and friendly, Highly recommend this hotel, away from the congestion...

"Love this place, stayed many times. Sadly the reception staff was unwelcoming compared to previous times I've stayed. I think he was French so may be a language thing. But no smiles ever ! The breakfast staff were young and inexperienced and not fitting of such a brilliant place. Will return because we love the building and the breakfast and cocktails were first class as ever. But people make or break. And this time they disappointed "
