Napili Oceanfront Tropical Paradise, beach, AC, remodeled

Kahana Sunset is a smaller oceanfront condo resort situated on the sandy beach of Keoni Nu'i Bay. Some say the beach is a hidden gem as most beach goers are only guests staying at the property. The condo is upgraded and remodeled providing comfortable and convenient accommodations with spectacular direct ocean views. You feel Hawaii when you stay here, all the senses of Aloha are present. The natural beauty and sounds of Hawaii are abundant, yet modern conveniences and activities are nearby.
The space
This upgraded and remodeled 1 bedroom / 1 bath spacious condominium has direct ocean views. Relax on your lanai and enjoy your morning cup of coffee. Then walk to the beach directly in front of the unit and spend the day in the sun and surf. Enjoy snorkeling, paddle boarding and swimming in the warm waters of the Pacific. The grounds include lush green lawns designed with space to lounge and sit overlooking the ocean or visiting the beach. West Maui is considered a top location of all the islands to consistently see Humpback whales off the shoreline!

Great communication! The property has such beautiful ocean views and a great pool. All Pristine. The condo unit is so well equipped (kitchen and ocean/poll toys) and all new and modern. Thank you!

Best condo

Such a cute comfortable condo! Sam and Charles are great! They helped out so much with quick responses! When roads shut down due to fire and we couldn’t get back to condo- they were going to take care of our belongings and my stress level went down to zero! Luckily we got to go back and Sam took care of getting us back into condo! What a great team and rental!!!!

Excellent but no beach

Was overall an excellent choice but the beach is practically non existent. I believe this is due to rising sea levels and erosion of the property line. Note that the “F”building which is right on the beach has been condemned due to the washing away of the retaining wall next to it so that should help you understand the situation. If you like to sit on a beach and wade into the water once in a while, this is not the place for you. You can sit up higher on a grassy area and walk down steps to the water if you like and everyone did that. The pool is great and the unit we stayed in was a good location too. Only downside was that there is no hot tub on the property, and our dishwasher didn’t work properly the entire time we were were (detergent packages were not being released automatically so we just dropped them into the bottom manually). The toaster also didn’t engage properly so we had to hold the lever down. Not a huge issue but something that can be easily replaced for $20.

Love this property

Absolutely would rent this again. The co do was a great location, updated and very clean. Air conditioning worked great, bed was comfortable, came with snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, etc. I give this a 5 star review.

Fabulous property

This is a beautiful condo complex on a small bay with good swimming and some decent spots for snorkeling (the snorkeling is better at Napili Bay and Kapalua Bay, short rides north of the property). The landscaping is very well-maintained, and the buildings too. Guests represented all ages, couples as well as families, and for the most part kept house rules for quiet between 10pm and 7am. The condo itself is gorgeous - much more modern and streamlined than the usual rattan look. The bed was honestly the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in! I was sore from travel and luggage hauling the first night but woke up ache-free and completely refreshed. The appliances were easy to use, and there was a cabinet filled with four boogie boards, three floating belts, and some games -- we were not expecting that and really appreciated it! There was also a full rack of spices in the kitchen, and a fresh herb garden for guest use with basil, rosemary, and a few other common herbs. We even enjoyed a mango from one of the trees on the property one morning. We were traveling with relatives, who stayed in their own condo a few doors down. This was a really perfect arrangement -- privacy but proximity for shared activities. I wouldn't hesitate to return here if staying on Maui in the future (we've stayed at Kihei and Kaanapali before, but this beats those locations). The only drawback to this part of the island is more distance from the east side sights (Road to Hana, Haleakala, etc.). But if you mostly want to just chill, swim and snorkel, this location and property is really terrific! The iTrips staff were excellent to work with too; great and timely communications and responsiveness to our questions.

2nd honeymoon

Very peaceful and relaxing. All personnel at the property were great, pool warm & clean, beach right there. Fantastic! If any complaint at all, I think the property was built in the 70s, so walls/ceilings thin, you can hear noise. But really not touristy, so no big parties etc, usually quiets at night quickly.

Kahana Sunset Summer of Epic Fun!

We have been frequent visitors to Kahana Sunset. It is the perfect blend of quietness, relaxation and family fun! What’s not to love… turtles on your private beach, lush secluded property where you can have a safe environment for your kids to play and not feel like a busy resort. The room has a lot of supplies to make your stay enjoyable so all you need is to bring groceries. A/C is ice cold in the living and bedroom. Hot shower witha great rain shower head. You’re literally 80ft from the pool and 90ft from the waves. Epic stay. Loved every minute of our 38 day stay!!!

Loved it

This was a great place to stay. We would definitely stay there again. Our view of the ocean was beautiful. We spent time swimming and enjoying the sun on the private beach. Snorkeling was great...saw turtles and fish everyday. When we had a problem with the lock on the door, the property manager was quick to fix it.

A perfect condo!

The check in process was seamless and the condo had all the amenities you could want. Easy beach access, easy parking, great location to a lot of fun beaches and restaurants. Onsite grills are wonderful. As other reviews stated you can hear the folks above you but everyone seems to be in quiet mode by 9pm and not up too early! Loved it. Thank you for everything!

Wonderful location

Property was very clean and in a wonderful location. It's a short walking distance to the small Napili Market shopping center. The unit's proximity to the pool and beach access is great. The room has a very nice shower and incredibly comfortable bed. The only negative was the movement of chairs on the floor of the unit upstairs. Somebody buy that unit some felt slides for their chair feet!

Short Maui break

Great unit, very comfortable king size bed, sofa bed was okay, room layout is probably more suited to two people. Communication with the property manager worked well. View of the water and easy access to both the beach and pool, great for watching the sunsets. Shops and restaurants are a little bit of a walk to get to otherwise Uber works very well.

Restful and beautiful

Great property! Well maintained and nicely updated. Mattress was extremely comfortable. Great location in complex with a nice view of ocean and garden. Direct access to the ocean was great. Overall, a quiet and friendly complex. Would be happy to stay here again.

Lovely view, great location

Nice clean unit with a view. Walking right out the door to the grounds was extra handy with two young kids. Perfect place for kids with swimming pool, baby pool, and beach all in same area. We especially enjoyed landscaping and view from the lanai. The grounds keepers were super nice with the kids.

Great location

The beach was so close and the resort was very family friendly. Only drawback was I could hear every step the neighbor made which was kind of annoying. That’s not the condo owners fault though so I still think this condo is great, unless you’re a light sleeper.

Little slice of heaven

We loved our stay! My husband and I had our 7mo old with us and it was a great first trip! The pool was wonderful and connects to a kiddie pool. There are outdoor bbqs with wonderful ocean views, and the beach was perfect for a little one. There's a nice section with sand and the waves were calm. Lots of turtles and great snorkling too! Well maintained unit- we were very happy there!
