This was a beautiful, well appointed condo with everything a guest might need for an incredible vacation (chairs, snorkel gear, coolers, pot/pans etc.) plus comfy beds, great living space, updated bathroom and kitchen. The air conditioning worked great. The hosts were so welcoming and responsive. We love Kanaloa since it is close to Kona and great snorkeling, but out of the main tourist area, plus it has an ocean view pool and grills etc. I would highly recommend this particular unit at Kanaloa for a comfortable, fabulous stay on the Big Island.

Nice golf course view

Location worked for us, 30 min from Two Step beach and very close to KTA supermarket. The complex is older but the condo has been partially updated with newer kitchen and bathroom counter tops, newer appliances and gorgeous views of the golf course. I loved the trees outside of the windows and balcony. Sofa and recliner in living room are not very comfortable as some reviews have mentioned. The first night we were there, it was pouring and the noise of the rain when hitting the metal roof right outside of the second bedroom kept me awake all night. We got some earplugs the next day for sleeping and we were fine afterwards. That's why I gave it 4 stars. In general, the condo is pretty nice, it stocked everything we needed, very spacious and beds were comfortable.

Pleasant unit but…

Late review since I was worried about not being positiv The property is nice and very well kept. Yes there is housekeeping before you leave but it is doable The closure of the ocean pool during our stay was problematic for us. There are other nice pools but we had no place to sit at the ocean without leaving the property and driving or walking downhill to the little bay which for some people might be problematic or sitting on the Grass in front of other units or lava even to watch the sunset-we were promised a discount which we never received. If the ocean pool is not under renovation this will be a nice place to vacation. We stayed before in the same complex in a much simpler and smaller unit and had a much better vacation but we did not have a terrible or even bad time-with lemons one makes lemonade right? It will remain unclear to me how such detail oriented owners in every way about their unit can miss knowing about a pool renovation and forget a promise. Hope the pool turned out nice. It is a nice complex because it is kept up.

Our Favorite Complex by Kona

The complex is very nice. The landscaping is beautiful and the ocean pool is wonderful to watch the waves crash and see the sunset. We highly recommend this 2nd story unit! The furnishings were high quality and comfortable. All the items you needed were available...beach towels & chairs, coolers and reusable shopping bags! The view from the back lanai looked out over the golf course, yet was hidden behind beautiful trees that filled with birds at sunrise. Owners were pleasant and responsive. Tenants in other units could be heard, but definitely much quieter having them on the floor below. We highly recommend!

Perfect all around!

We spent a week at the condo in August and absolutely enjoyed every moment of it. The place is clean and spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the patio is a great place for tropical bird watching. The complex has plenty of amenities, including three pools and grills. The owners were also very responsive to a small request we had. We would definitely stay there again on our next trip to the Kona coast!

Beautufully located right by the golf course, spacious condo

Everything available for your use, from beach chairs, snorkels coolie bags. Beautiful surroundings. Very comfortable beds. Our daughtet and son-inlaw joined us for one week and we met up with family from Pennsylvania, who had another condo in the same complex. Pools were great, 3 to choose from. Wonderful stay and would recommend this place. Thank you

Fantastic stay!

We stayed for a week and were very pleased. The property is beautiful, has a nice view and was very clean. The owner was very helpful and responsive, and provided some great local suggestions. Costco and Walmart aren’t too far away, and the condo is fully equipped with everything you need for meals in (or coolers for picnics!). Overall an excellent property and we would not hesitate to stay again.

A lovely house and wonderful vacation

Lovely condo in a great location!

I loved this condo - the location is amazing! It's on the 11th Fairway of the Keauhou golf course. I used to live on the street so I was familiar with the neighborhood. The access is great and the condo is very livable. The master bedroom was nice, the bed was fine. Our daughter slept in the 2nd bedroom and loved the yummy bed! This complex is quiet and the birds were so sweet in the mornings when we had coffee on the lanai. We recorded them so we can play their beautiful sounds back here in California (where the birds never sound that cheerful!) The complex is nice but we didn't use the pools but just once or twice. We spent our days up and down the coast at amazing beaches...sunning, snorkeling, and exploring. Definitely thought this condo was a great choice for our home base, and very reasonably priced. My only suggestion to the owner would be that the amount of information about access, etc. could be edited and reduced. The check-out procedures were found on our first day and I was stunned that I was asked to do laundry (get beds stripped and laundry going) for the cleaning people when we definitely paid for the cleaning. No big deal, just stayed with me the entire stay in a weird way. Anyway - loved the condo - wish I was still living there and who knows....maybe it will be sooner than later! Aloha!

Perfect place for a family getaway

We had an incredible vacation on the big island and this property could not have been a more perfect home away from home. It was well furnished and very clean, you could tell the owners care about you and your family having a great time without worry. Everything you could possibly need for a vacation away was provided in the unit. The resort it is located in was very well maintained including the 3 pools (our favorite was the ocean side one). Our family has a great time with memories forever and we would gladly stay here again. Thank you!

Well located Kona condo

We really enjoyed our condo rental in Kona. The owners Kurt and Bonnie have a beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bath with many amenities to feel like home away from home. It was a good location not to be too close to the crowds and noise of downtown Kona. Situated between the ocean and golf course. Either way peaceful relaxing views and stay. Fully furnished including kitchen and washer and dryer. Plenty of space for our family of 4 though the condo could accommodate up to 6 with a pull out couch bed. We would rent this place again if available on our next trip back to the big Island.

Beautiful condo and property

My family of 4 stayed here for 10 days. The condo is very spacious, clean, and well appointed. The pools were great for cooling off and the location of the condo was not too far from Kona town. Great stay, we will be back for sure!!
