Great place on the water

We had a wonderful stay. The condo is nicely stocked with everything you need (including beach chairs, boogies boards, towels et all). The view from the lanai was lovely as was the salt water pool overlooking the ocean. The only gripe we had was there not being enough parking close to the condo. If you come home after 7pm you have to park further out by the street / in the commercial area. It’s not the end of the world but it’s a bit odd there’s not enough guest parking. Other than that, it was a great spot! Easy walking/jog to various cute beaches and restaurants.

We absolutely loved this complex. The suite itself is very comfortable (could have better patio furniture, but that wasn't a game changer). The beach area, pools, bbq area were perfect. If we return to the island we will stay here!

Relaxing and peaceful.

We enjoyed our week here. Sunsets were amazing and loved watching / listening to the waves come in. Centrally located making it easy for traveling to other parts of the Island. Plenty of space and very, very clean. Loved having a washer/dryer right there. Also appreciated such a large bathroom. We would absolutely return again and stay even longer. Mahalo!

The add is misleading. Central air should mean it works, it was 77/78 degrees the entire stay. Miserable conditions for my wife on out vacation.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit fell very short of our expectations. We had stayed in another unit same complex for 2 weeks and found that unit to be most satisfactory. Unit 310 was not! The unit requires major renovation and updating. The kitchen in particular! The appliances are extremely old and rusty. The fridge is rusty inside and out. The upholstered furniture is very worn and torn. The doors to the lanai do not work properly. Bathroom requires updating as well. Overall very high priced unit given the overall poor condition. Not recommended. L

Casa de embeko is always a great place to stay

We always stay at casa de embeko when we come to the big island. This was our first stay in 310. It is very welcoming. Plenty of space for my wife and I. Very clean and comfortable. Only problem we had was the a/c went out on the entire complex for a day and a half. We ended up sleeping on the patio for the night and we were not the only ones. It got too hot inside. But overall we had an amazing time

Ocean views & peaceful, quiet place

Great place! The condo is in a quiet complex with many retirees and some vacationers like us. The balcony is delightful, with views of the ocean, pools and gardens below. There was usually a nice breeze too. The grounds include two pools - one typical pool, as well as another right up against the ocean. There's also a nice sand beach with palm trees, perfect for a relaxing day with a good book. The actual beach consists of lava rocks, so most people don't swim in the ocean there. However, there are a number of very nice beaches within a mile or so, including some with good snorkeling. The interior was just fine for us. We appreciated that the kitchen included all the pans and tools that we needed to make breakfasts and other occasional meals.

Beautiful Location

We love the location of this complex right next to the ocean and then easy access to other parts of the island. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and it is quiet except for the sound of waves which is what we enjoy. The condo itself looked out at the grounds as well as the ocean. We were able to enjoy our meals on the lanai and watch for whales. The condo had lots of amenities and we did figure out, with the help of Spectrum, how to get the TV on. It was nice to have our own washer and dryer. Someone had made an earlier comment that it was dark but we didn't find that at all. The decor seems very Hawaiian and we appreciated that. We would absolutely stay here again if able to get it.

Place and location was overall nice; check in process went smoothly; the kitchen and bathroom were my only favorite parts about the condo. Unfortunately did not like the bedroom or the living room, really felt outdated and the bed was just very uncomfortable. Needs major update on a few things. But overall great place!

Great location

Just back from a week in the condo. The condo is a perfect location close to Kona and right by the sea. The sound on the sea was amazing as well as the view. The complex is perfect with two great pools and a really nice beach. Parking in front of the complex is behind a security fence where we never had a problem finding a space. Overall the complex is kept in excellent condition. The condo has everything you will need. We choose the condo as it is on the top floor which offered the best views. Everything was perfect. We did have a small problem with the air conditioning and the rental agent told us one of the compressors was out on the central chiller - didn't get as cool as we like in the bedroom but the overall temperature stayed at 7 degrees or lower, so was pleasant. Great bed and slept well - all the furniture is very comfortable. Made a lot of use of the large balcony. There is a small shop selling most things you will need, but if you are staying longer - Costco, Walmart and Safeway are located in Kona.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: we thoroughly enjoyed out stay at the Casa, unit 310 was beautifully appointed, the kitchen had everything that was needed and more. The stove/oven was a blast from the past(late 60's?) but worked perfectly well. The grounds were lovely and well kept. The bed was very comfortable. The Casa is very quiet facility, so fyi for families with children, there are not many attractions other than the 2 pools. Not an issue for us though. We had booked a manta ray snorkel adventure with Kona Coast Vacations. The catamaran KonaStyle, left Kona heading south towards the Sheraton Resort. It was a nice boat ride, however there were approx 6 other boats at that location at the same time. We noticed that the lights used to attracted the plankton to our boat weren't as bright as the others, hence our manta experience wasn't as exciting as it could have been (no whoops or cheering from our group) although, that being said we did see a few manta's. We also found other tours advertised in Kona that were less expensive. We will return to the Casa again one day! Mahalo and Aloha from BC Canada

The unit was clean, stayed cool in the day, and had a sweet view of sunrise from the front door and sunset off the back porch. Loved every minute. Just enough island decor to keep the vibe going but not over done to feel gaudy. I appreciated full kitchen, shower and tub option, and beach equipment (once I realized it was there). Location was perfect just south of the night life so it stayed quiet in the mornings and evenings spent at home. And Kona Coast Vacations did a great job of making themselves available without disrupting my vacation time at all. Seamless relaxation!

While the unit was very clean and well- maintained, the TV is very small by any standards, and the sofa is broken and very uncomfortable to sit on. We did enjoy sitting on the deck and looking out over the grounds and the ocean. On the other hand the grounds and pools were very nice and well maintained, the salt water pool is wonderful. Casa De Emdeko is located at about 2 1/4 mile Alii Drive and is conveniently located to downtown and nearby beaches.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Casa de Emdeko is a nice condo facility, right on the ocean, well maintainted, with gorgeous landscaping! Unit 310 was in a good location on the third floor with a partial ocean view. It was clean and well stocked with cooking utinsels, condiments etc. I am sorry to say we were not happy with the furnishings & appliances in the unit and would not recommend it to our friends or relatives! The appliances were extremely old, the refrigerator was rusting on the outside and inside. The living room furniture was awful, stained with holes in the fabric, and a broken foundation. The TV was tiny, maybe a 19" and no sound system to play music. The bedroom window blinds were so rusted we could not lower them all the way for privacy. We were only here 3-nights, don't believe the $125/night, after fees it cost us $600 for three nights!
