Nice hotel with a good breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Near the train and sits on an old town square. Just be aware that some of the nearby restaurants play load music into the early morning.

150 year old architectural jewel of a hotel with gorgeous hard wood floors located in one of Scandinavia’s best kept secrets, Kalmar! Loved the town and one of Europe’s most picturesque castles.

Had a nice restaurant. The weather was warm and the hitel had no air conditioning. The rooms were small and the windows opened in to the room that was already small so there was no room to walk around the bed. With that said i would stay there again as we hit warm weather and the other hotels in the area look to designed the same way.

Beautiful Historic Hotel, well located across the street from train station. Wonderful breakfast with so many healthy choices. Enjoyed using the sauna.

Great location for bus and trains. Staff are excellent and we received a friendly response from Lisa when we checked in. She was informative and helpful. Evening meal was delicious and presented very well. We stayed 6 days and breakfast buffet was delicious and plenty of choices. Only comment was there is no decaf coffee. However this was not a big issue due to the variety of teas available - our favourite was ginger and honey black tea. The cost of the accommodation is very reasonable and I would recommend it to others. I would certainly return without hesitation.

Too much noise outside the hotel as it’s bordering a busy square with many restaurants and patios. We needed to keep the windows opened as the room was warm and no air conditioning. The hotel kept its original architecture and was decorated with taste and functionality. It felt like going back 1870 with 2024 comfort. Nice breakfast at reasonable hours for the weekend up to 11 am, nice to be able to sleep in longer.

Det kan være en udfordring mht parkering, da hotellet ligger midt i den gamle bydel. Mega hyggelig by med liv på torvet til ud på natten en torsdag aften. Værelset var udstyret med ørepropper, men man skal være forberedt på lidt larm en sommeraften.

Hotell mitt i stan. Extremt vänlig personal. Jag hade kontakt med flera av dem o alla får stjärnor i betyg!! Hotellet är gammalt o har lite dålig luft. Avsaknad av luftkonditionering gjorde det också väldigt varmt på rummet. Öppet fönster innebar insekter…För hotellets pris hade vi förväntat oss en större frukostbuffé.
