Good hotel except bathrooms

MacKinnon suites is nice hotel in a good location in Kampala close to all attractions, suites are spacious with good amenities except bathroom they have to upgrade it because it's really very basic and not in harmony with the hotel rate, shower very small not well functional pretty dark,

Overpriced Old property. It’s not what it claims to be. Better places just round the corner for a better price. Staff wasn’t helpful. $ 30 charges for a second person even if the room is booked as a king room with declared 2 occupancies was a surprise. On the positive side Carrie from the reception was perticularly helpful in communicating with me about an item I had left behind.

Never again

The property is falling apart. Room flooded, towel rail fell off wall, windows in replacement room leak. To add insult to injury they charged me for the food that had been plated for 45 minutes whilst we relocated from the flooded room. The wine list is a work of fiction as only one bottle is in stock. The staff try hard but it´s a battle they can´t win. Avoid - I will never return.

Almost no hot water

the bath .... I checked in almost 11pm, and the hotel kept the room's hotwater system off, so when I checked in, no hot water at all. I had to wait two hours for a five minutes shower. shower has very low water pressure and hot water tank is so small that you don't have enough hot water. house keeper kept turning the boiler off during the day, so every night you come back to the room, you have to wait two hours to shower at night. I don't understand why they turn it off when they knew that there's someone checking in or staying. When you write to the hotel, they never reply, and when you call them, the number on the website is a wrong number... very very unprofessional.

A really good stay and an option that I would definitely use again. Brilliant location, good value, some very good service. And some exceptional service. Josephine in the bar/restaurant is a rare talent.

I enjoyed every encounter I had at this hotel. Staff friendly, gracious, accommodating. Services I needed were available. Internet a little spotty at times. Used laundry services which were good. The bar/lounge area was a bit too dark in the evenings. Food and drinks were good.

A very bad hotel

We stayed at this hotel two days ago. It was one the worst hotels to stay. There are no lights it is dark and dingy..The staff are very good but that’s all. In breakfast time there is a limit of two cups of tea or coffees. The rooms are not good. Nothing gets done. There are lots of mosquitoes. You get eaten alive day or Night. We do not recommend it to any one as we had the worst nightmare . Although it is given 4 star it is not . It is two stars. More like likely.

Hotel was good value, in a good location, the room was extremely large and breakfast included a wide selection which changed each day. Only cons would be the towels which could be more comfortable, also we were only provided 1 bath towel despite reservation being for 2. Additional towels were provided each day upon request.

Huge rooms, good staff. shower not brilliant.

I booked a suite and the room was huge, clean and tidy. The staff were great. The restaurant and the breakfast was fine. On the negative side. The water pressure was a little poor and there was no stand up shower, it was a bath with a mixer. I didn’t use the kitchen but it looked well enough equipped. At times it appeared I was the only person staying there.
