The family apartment was clean, cozy, and had very comfortable bedding. It’s a cute little apartment with 2 rooms, a living room, and a bathroom. The only thing missing was a kitchen. The decor definitely takes you back to the 1970s–80s, which gives it a unique charm. The cable car is literally right next door, and you can enjoy some beautiful views from the apartment. The breakfast was decent too. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again if we’re ever in the area! 😊

It is a long walk for city central and the train station but is great for going into the park area. Hotel is located next to the Chair lift that takes you into the mountains and chair lift. Staff was very friendly and services were great. Resturant food food was very good as well.

After a horrible experience in Interlaken. This hotel was a safe, healthy, clean place that was so worth it. Matina and Joshua were so kind! They say Americans are the people who respect them. We must always be that way as other countries do not hold our values. So book this place!

The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. I have a few suggestions as towels were thin, weak WiFi, no vending machines or ice machine. Only had one tv for two rooms as there was no living room. Lastly, given only one key so not as convenient.

Our family absolutely loved our stay at the Ermitage Hotel in Kandersteg! The location couldn’t be better, it’s just a short walk from the train station and the charming downtown area with shops and restaurants. Best of all, it’s right next to the cable car that takes you up to Oeschinen Lake, one of the most breathtaking places we’ve ever visited. We also had a blast riding the mountain toboggan, which was a huge hit with the whole family! The hotel staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The on-site restaurant was delicious, making it easy to enjoy a great meal after a day of exploring the mountains. Breakfast is included every morning and it was delicious! Every member of the team made us feel right at home. The scenery is simply stunning, and the convenience of the location made our trip even more enjoyable. We made unforgettable memories here and are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend the Ermitage Hotel to anyone visiting Kandersteg!

We had a great time at Hotel Ermitage staff was very friendly and accommodating it was very close to hiking and rooms very clean. Breakfast was excellent as well. Hot tub was not very hot when we’re there so did not use it otherwise great location and experience.
