Off season at BlueBay

My wife and I recently spent 11-days at Blue Bay in Afitos starting Sept 27 to celebrate a delayed 5 yr anniversary. Our stay at the Blue Bay was wonderful. We stayed in a double delux room 311 which is on the second floor with a 180 degree balcony overlooking the beautiful clear sea, and we could also look over to the right to see the Veranda, bar, restaurant, and pool. This was such a great room to view the sea. Highly suggest this room. It was super quiet at night, and very comfortable. The bed and amenities were wonderful. I mentioned to BlueBay we were celebrating an anniversary, and so they decorated the room with balloons! I had ordered sparkling wine and a fruit bowl which was fabulous and fresh. BlueBay suprised us with a decadent chocolate mouse cake! So so nice. Our room was cleaned everyday and was spotless! We were so grateful to the cleaning lady! At the restaurant the breakfast was good, a large selection of Greek specialties, fruit, pastries, coffee, juice, crepes. And sparkling wine on Sunday! The staff always greeted us with smiles. The entire staff was so very nice and accommodating. We needed a parasol for the beach, and so they purchased one we could use! The steps down to the beach is about 15 minutes, but manageable, and worth it. The beach is very nice. The beach was closed for the season. There are fresh water showers at the beach to rinse off after swimming. In all highly recommend BlueBay, great resort and very friendly staff. Thank you Blue Bay!

The hotel is fantastic service grounds are excellent location it’s perfect 10 minute walk to downtown with all the bars restaurants nightlife is and the beach is phenomenal having dinner in the hotel outside overlooking the gorgeous blue waters it’s worth every penny of it that you pay for so if anyone would love to come to this hotel I suggest you come so anyone coming enjoy I hope you have a saying good time I had with my wife

The pictures are misleading, and they don’t show the room you get until you arrive there. We also for a suite, and they gave us a ground floor room in front of the common pool area, and with a bedroom window view to next doors balcony sitting area. We asked for another room and they didn’t have one of our category. So we were downgraded. We decided to leave the next day. They were not giving money back.horrible experience. It’s 3star hotel with a pool at its best. Breakfast was also limited.

Lovely hotel but not beachfront

Lovely hotel situated on clifftop with spectacular views from every aspect . Our room was a superior double which was smaller than we expected but we had everything needed to enjoy our holidays . The bathroom was very nice with very large bathtub and shower with lots of complimentary toiletries ! Towels were changed daily and bedding every two days ! Staff especially in the restaurant and bar were really helpful and friendly . The setting is so peaceful and tranquil a perfect place to chill and relax . A few things to note - this is not a beachfront hotel situated 660 meters from center of Afitos - there are 170 steps down to the beachfront and the climb back up was horrendous in the heat . The beach is not very nice , we found much nicer beaches nearby . The walk into Afitos took us 30 minutes- I would recommend a taxi back after dark . Also the electric supply to the room is activated by putting your key card into the control slot at the door - when you leave the room there is no electricity to keep the fridge working , we spoke to reception who arranged a special key to leave in slot to keep fridge on whilst we were out . The hotel offers a transfer service to and from the airport , which they advised was a cost of €100 each way , we used our usual taxi firm who only charge €80 Euro each way and it turned out it was the same taxi the hotel uses for transfers ! Overall we enjoyed our holiday - we came home all chilled and relaxed

Al het vriendelijke personeel en de locatie maken dat ons verblijf voor herhaling vatbaar is. Hier en daar is het hotel wat gedateerd maar dit is voor ons geen reden om niet terug te komen. Verder is de locatie top maar je moet wel goed ter been zijn. Het dorp is heuvelachtig en vanaf het hotel kun je met de trap naar het strand. Ley op ruim 150 traptreden.

Afitos'a çok yakın güzel bir otel. Odalar temiz. Servis ve kahvaltı çok başarılı. Web sitesindeki ifadelerden deniz kenarında konumlandığını düşünmemize karşın, otelin bulunduğu tepeden plaja inmek için bir hayli yürümek gerekiyor. Ayrıca bizim orada olduğumuz dönemde deniz çok temiz değildi.

Otelin konumu oldukça iyiydi, tepeden muhteşem bir manzarası var. Otelden denize inmek arabasız çok zor, dik bir yokuşu var. Otel temiz ve düzenli denizi de tek kelimeyle muhteşem. Otel kendimi kahvaltı da geliştirebilir biraz zayıflı.

Tolles ruhig gelegenes Strandhotel

Das Hotel liegt in Aussichtslage auf den Klippen oberhalb des Strandes. Eine Treppe führt dorthin. Zum schönen Dorf Afitos mit diversen Restaurants ist es etwa 500 m. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und modern. Sehr komfortabel und sauber. Die Mitarbeiter nett und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war das beste was wir bisher in Griechenland hatten. Wir waren sehr zufrieden!

Amazing hotel.

This is a great hotel! I highly recommend the breakfast and to enjoy the beach that is just below the hotel. Very clean and good service. The hotel is between kallithea and Afitos.

Fantastik staff and service. Well kept hotel area in a good location with walking distance to the village. The room had everything you need and was very clean. Good breakfast but slightly limited a la carte meny. A lot of stairs within the hotel and to the beach. I would gladly stay at this hotel again.

What a lovely place! Comfort and Service great.

What a lovely hotel. From check-in to check-out, the staff were top-rate. Professional, friendly, helpful in terms of what was expected of us to be COVID compliant, and responsive to issues - just the one; the hot water in the bathroom was barely warm. Possibly a function of wanting a shower/bath at the same time or just after everyone else, but not what was expected in a hotel of this calibre and in this price-range. Mentioned it to the lady at check-in and she sent an engineer to check immediately. Unfortunately this did not sort out the problem. I mentioned it again at check-out and got the impression that it would be looked into. Breakfast was an excellent selection but as is the case with nearly every 'hot' buffet I have experienced, the cooked food was invariably barely even luke-warm. The rest of the selection made up for it. The pool area was just delightful. The pool was sparkling clean and every time someone left a sunbed/table, someone came and disinfected the area. Lovely deep mattresses on the sunloungers too! Our room was exactly as pictured in the advertising, with very comfy chairs on a shaded balcony. Fantastically comfortable bed too.

Amazing Greek Holidays

Great hotel overall, great location with stunning views, amazing service, very clean, almost everything was brand new in our room, stunning bathroom, amazing massage experience in the spa room, very nice breakfast and great facilities. The only thing that needs updated are the sun beds by the pools.
