Lovely and historic

A lovely and historic property attached to an old church. Beautiful courtyard, intimate bar, and a nice dining room. Excellent staff service at front desk and in restaurant. My only complaint is the size of the room I was given. Tiny and with great sun exposure, was too worn. Luckily, the hotel provided a small fan but it was noisy. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel.

Stylish and cozy hotel. I was fortunate to have my room upgraded, due to a private event being held that day. The receptionist that checked me in was very sweet and helpful. Will definitely stay here again if I come by Kassel in the future!

Sleep and events don't go well together

The place itself is ok - nothing fancy, but actually quite charming. However, if they are having an event during your stay, and you want to get some sleep, you probably need to find another hotel. We had 1 night at Renthof, as a stop during our travel back home, after a 10 hours drive, and before an 8 hours drive. When we arrived, we realized that the hotel was hosting a wedding on that day. The room we got was small, but cozy, however, sleep was impossible, due to the sound coming from the party downstairs. Not only the sound was incredibly loud, but the whole room was rattling from the bass' vibration. We were given a room further away from the core of the party, but did not help much. That meant a sleepless night, and a bad experience. If avoiding to rent rooms right above the event place is not a possibility, it would be nice (and considerate) to at least send out a warning in good time, so the guest can choose whether to endure the sleepless night, or to find somewhere else to get some rest. As a side note, I suggest that the 'sound-isolated rooms' statement from the description here in the page should be modified.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit einem sehr guten Restaurant und Frühstücksbuffet. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und die Zimmer sauber. Einzig leicht negativ anzumerken war, dass wir vorab einen Parkplatz reserviert hatten, dies jedoch nicht garantiert freigehalten werden konnte.

Was für ein schönes Hotel. Bin zum dritten Mal hier. Alleine. Jedesmal ein anderes, ganz besonderes Zimmer. Das ganze Haus so charmant und extraordinaire. Wirklich zu empfehlen!

Aus dem im 13. Jahrhundert als Karmeliterkloster erbaute Gebäude wurde im Jahr 2017 in ein modernes Hotel . Es bietet dadurch eine einzigartige Atmosphäre. Das Restaurant ist auch empfehlenswert. Wählt man das Überrschungs Menü, (nur möglich wenn der gesamte Tisch dies wählt) werden alle Speisen in die Mitte gestellt und jeder kann sich bedienen

Uns hat die Lage des Hotels gut gefallen. Wir hatten eine Gallerie-Suite zum Innenhof. Zuerst freuten wir uns darüber, wir dachten es sei dadurch ruhig. Doch weit gefehlt, zum Innenhof ist hier das Lokal. Es wird bis weit nach Mitternacht dort gegessen, gefreiert, getrunken. An beiden Tagen, die wir dort waren, konnten wir leider nicht schlafen. Eine Bemerkung hierzu an der Rezeption wurde mit einem, "das ist aber schade", abgetan. Wichtiger war erst die City-Tax noch abzukassieren.Das schmälerte doch sehr, den sonst positiven Eindruck! Als Tipp: Es ein sehr interessantes und gut gelegenes Hotel. Zum Erkunden von Kassel gut geeignet. Man darf nur nicht geräuschempfindlich sein.

Wir waren vom 08.08. bis 10.08. im Hotel, um unseren Hochzeitstag zu feiern. Leider gab es ein Missgeschick mit einem falschen Zimmerschlüssel, was für uns etwas unangenehm war. Die Rückmeldung dazu kam leider erst nach unserem Aufenthalt, wir hoffen aber, dass so etwas künftig nicht mehr vorkommt.

Ein sehr gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Hotel ! Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Das Frühstück hatte eine sehr gute Auswahl an Speisen. Davon waren viele Bio Produkte. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zwei Punkte gibt es dennoch zu bemängeln. In der Suite waren die Kopfkissen viel zu groß, somit konnten wir schlecht / gar nicht schlafen. Das Beistellbett für unseren 12 jährigen Sohn, war leider ein sehr schlechtes. M.M.n. nicht dafür geeignet um dadrauf zu schlafen. Das Brett in der Mitte des Bettes war so hart, dass das längere Liegen ( übernachten) überhaupt nicht möglich war. Auch unser Sohn konnte die ganze Nacht nicht schlafen. Das Bett eignet sich maximal für kleine Kinder. Expedia VIP Vorteil sollte eine Flasche Wein sein. Stattdessen haben wir ein Gutschein für ein Getränk an der Bar bekommen. Für uns war es in Ordnung, weil wir abends Zeit hatten an die Bar zu gehen . Da es nur ein Gutschein pro Zimmer war, mussten natürlich andere Gäste auf eigene Kosten konsumieren. Dies ist ein Fall für Expedia, da ich nicht beurteilen kann wie es mit dem Hôtel vereinbart war.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt in toller Atmosphäre

Hotel mit toller Architektur und ansprechendem Einrichtungsstil. Der Empfang war sehr angenehm. Parkplätze stehen nach Check-In kostenpflichtig hinter einer Schranke parat. Die Zimmer sind „auf alt“ eingerichtet und verfügen nicht über Kühlschrank und Klimaanlage. Das Frühstück war nicht Trubels und die Zutaten waren allesamt sehr hochwertig.

Väldigt mysigt hotell! Så fint och genuint på alla sätt. Eftersom huset var så gammalt gav det en unik atmosfär (var nästan orolig att någon munk skulle spöka på rummet under natten ;-) ). Vi åt även i restaurangen och maten var god och personalen mycket trevlig. Kan varmt rekommendera detta hotell!
