"We’ve had better stays here, main issue was miscommunications between staff not being on the same page. The restaurant which is not run by the hotel technically is a mess with charges trying to upsell you and we were brought the wrong food, again lack of communication between staff. So if you eat here make sure you watch for that and double check your check. If they ask you if you’d like bread or any side extra’s just know nothing is complimentary."

"We absolutely loved our stay! Our room had a beautiful river view, and the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. I had read several reviews mentioning airplane noise, but honestly, it didn’t bother us at all. The hotel was surprisingly quiet from about 10:30 PM to 8:00 AM, and we slept wonderfully. We also chose this hotel because it was significantly cheaper than staying downtown Portland. While it was a little farther away, the savings made it completely worth it for us. We loved being able to enjoy a beautiful view, a comfortable room, and a peaceful night’s sleep without paying downtown prices. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"Don't let the streetside appearance of the property sway your decision to visit. Once they complete all the landscaping and sign appearance certainly will enhance the entrance. Staff always asked us if we needed anything during our stay. Views from our 2nd floor river view room and balcony were fabulous. Complete with Binoculars in the rooms to watch ship movements along the columbia river. Although the beds were low and a bit uncomfortable the pillows and overall room and property cleanliness was excellent. We will stop in again if we travel thru Astoria."
