"The house is absolutely beautiful. The gardens are lovely and relaxing. The house itself was beautifully laid out. Very very comfortable. Very clean on arrival and the host couldn’t do enough for us - we had an issue with heating which was sorted in minutes of contact. He let us check in a little bit earlier which was great. The house is about 20 minutes walking distance into the town centre which was absolutely fine for us and it’s perfectly situated for local buses as far as we could work out. A lovely place to relax - just a shame we couldn’t stay there longer. I’ve got nothing but praise for it. Thank you very much for letting us stay. "

"Burnside is a 15 minute walk into Keswick, mostly on a traffic free route along a paved old railway line. Easy drive to the significant mountains in the locality. My room (3) was a little on the small side but very comfortable on the second floor. All amenities were provided in the room as one would expect to find in a private B&B. Breakfast was good with a good few options provided they were ordered the night before and the time of required breakfast. Hotels.com state that there's "limited on site parking". There isn't any. Parking spaces may be found across the road in a side-road. "

"Great property with plenty of room for the 6 of us (4 Adults and 2 kids) plus a dog. Good access to A66 and Keswick either by car or foot. Lovely sitting room views of Latrigg. Spacious garden, bathroom and well appointed kitchen. Infact the only negative thing we had to say was the towels are too small. For the men it wasn't an issue for the ladies trying to decide which B they wanted to cover up was highly entertaining for the respective spouse to watch but in the end the only thing that would have improved the property would be proper bath sheets. Would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking to explore and enjoy the beautiful Lake District."
