Waterfront Condo with Boat; Great for Families, Fishing, Diving and Cruising!

Large 2 bedroom unit with cable, wifi. There is a barbecue and eating area on the large screened porch that overlooks the water. The unit can be combined with a 1 bedroom unit, next door, for larger groups. There is a Queen bed in the Master Bedroom and a set of twins in the second bedroom. Washer and dryer are in the unit. The kitchen is complete for all of your cooking needs as well as linens. The boat is just below your unit and is a 23 ft.Mako, center console, with a 200 HP Yamaha 4 stroke engine that was installed in 2019. The boat is equipped with GPS, VHF and all Coast Guard required equipment.

Needs a lot of work

This condo is in desperate need of repairs besides the previous post of issues I’ll give you mine painting needs to be done thru out the place. The kitchen has missing floor trim the ceiling by the refrigerator has water/ mold damage, the bottom of the oven has a sharp thin piece of metal halfway screwed on we’re a bottom drawer was. In the twin bedroom room once again water/mold damaged ceiling holes in the wall electrical outlet covers not put on and one of the doors where the washer and dryer go is off and laying in the master bedroom closet. The bathroom has a missing shower tile and towel holder that’s missing in the shower and mold around the bathroom pantry door at the floor. The master bedroom had upper shades falling apart television didn’t work the thermostat was broken ( no backlight to see what temperature you had, the popcorn ceiling in the hall was falling apart. In the back porch the shades were falling apart as well as the chairs for the table the boat is not in very good shape the motor sounded like it was having troubles at higher speeds the depth finder stopped working and oil was coming out of the steering wheel the host was prompt to our messages and Kevin was and housekeeping were cordial. Long story short this place needs a lot of tlc to make it suitable for renter’s

Love having the boat.

The condo itself is just ok. This is the second time we’ve rented from this party. The condo kitchen has lots of pots and pans but nothing to use for food storage. We were given 3 dishwasher pods and a small bottle of dish soap for a week’s stay. One kitchen towel and dishrag. There are no sink baskets to stop up the kitchen sink. With a little investment the property could be a much more comfortable place to vacation. I don’t believe the property had been inspected to make sure everything was ready for our visit. Both the cable and internet was out. The propane tank for the grill was empty. We should have been given the name of an alternate contact before we arrived because the regular property manager was in the hospital. All in all, we had a good week but it could have been more enjoyable with a little more property preparation.

Jay was great and very responsive. Boat was a nice touch and worked great. FYI Lots of stairs to both the boat and to where you stay.

Our stay

Nice place but the big reason we chose it was because of the boat access. The condo needs work. Electrical issues are in HIGH need of updating. Bathroom light especially. Water pressure in kitchen sink needs work. We needed better directions to the condo. However to his credit, Jay took a call from us at 2:30 am because our GPS was. It getting us where we needed to be. Jay guided us to the site easily. Thanks for taking that call! Other than that, our stay was nice.

The boat made it!

We enjoyed the boat! A hairdryer, small 1 time use package of tide and 1-2 dryer sheets would have been great!! Coffee maker and one of the can openers is broken.

Pros and cons

PROS: Close to the main road and easy to get everywhere. Very close to the state park and beach, places to rent jet skis, paddleboards, beautiful restaurants, go for runs, supermarkets, Key Largo library Cute neighborhood, great to sit out and fish at night CONS: . We didn't know the condos were attached to a strip mall with 2 long flights of stairs up and down to the boat and we had my elderly mother with us . The store underneath us was renovating so the drilling was quite loud but they did agreed to not drill unless we were out The toilet was leaking when we arrived and we told Jay. We reminded him again and on the 4th day the plumbers came. (They left a mess of dirty towels.) For 4 days I had to use all the towels for the leak. I was washing them but then realized the dryer wasn't working. The dishwasher wasn't working The TV remotes in both bedrooms didn't work The screens were torn The sliders weren't working right. We had to completely not use one set of sliders. The depth finder on the boat was having issues No cutting board, no hair dryer, we had to purchase quite a bit when we arrived. I've never had to do that before in all the places we've rented. We had a wonderful time in the Keys but wish we had stayed somewhere else. We texted them with the issues but only had the plumbing addressed after a few days. Nothing else Jay was very nice but I was very disappointed. Probaby better for a "Guys" weekend

The boat made it amazing!

Because the Keys don't really have very many beautiful beaches like other amazing places in Florida, having the boat was truly the answer! This way we were able to go any day of the week to beautiful sandbars that you could only reach by having a boat!

Cross Key Waterways

We had a blast using the boat. It ran exceptionally well. The condo is in good condition and served our family well. Coffee maker was not operational, but Jay immediately brought a new one. Would certainly stay there again.

Great time after boat issue was rectified

Loved the place and area! The first week we had a two stroke motor which used a lot of fuel and smoked excessively. Received a four stroke that worked to our expectations. Grandkids loved their visit! We enjoyed our month there and on the water exploring the keys!

Great Family Boating Vacation in the Keys

The owner was very responsive and gave us some wonderful ideas on where to go boating near Key Largo. All of his recommendations were spectacular. The condo was comfortable and close to everything. We had a fantastic five days and look forward to renting again in the future!

Family vacation

Jay was helpful at check in. The condo was clean and stocked as described. The boat worked well and was great to have access to. It was nice to have the grill on the Lanai for cooking in. The location was convenient. The condo was a great size for our family of 3. We never did get the TV to work but Jay was quick to get us a new remote when we thought that was issue. The weather was good so it didn't really matter!

GREAT LOCATION

We enjoyed our two night stay at this condo. It included boat rental which was a huge hit with my family. The location in the canal was wonderful and it was nice and quiet. We even saw the NYE fireworks from the screened in balcony. The property itself had a couple issues. The water heater leaks and the ceiling fan in the master bedroom is too noisy to run at night. The property worked for us and Jay explained everything with the boat at checkin. Thank you.

Clean Space - Needed repairs - Mainly just a fishing camp

Jay was easy to deal with and he let us use (2) fishing poles for the week which was nice. The BBQ grill was nice and did work. I am not sure if Jay was even told about the issues at check-in but the place and the boat needs a lot of work before someone else rents the space. The boat was older which was not a big deal but you do expect for it to be in working order especially when you go there to fish and screw around. It was a 2-cycle which is a pain since you have to add oil to the gas every time you fill up. A motor swap to a 4 stroke would be much easier on guests. The boats sit in the water so I suspect that is why the fish finder did not work. I told Aaron the check in guy but it never got fixed all week either. The space was clean but needed repairs to the ceiling and the A/C did not keep up during the day. It never even got below 75 degrees in there even at night. 1 set of towels were provided, no hand towels, and no maid service for the entire week. We washed them ourselves but had to buy soap for that too. Told Aaron about the remote for the bedroom TV was the wrong brand but it was never replaced the entire week we were there. Also told him about the ceiling flaking off when we checked in. It kept falling down every time it rained and the A/C not keeping up did not help. The towel bar in the bathroom was not securely mounted either and told him about that but it was never repaired either. Overall - It was not horrible but was not near what we expected. I expect this kind of thing at a fishing camp in Canada or something not in the Florida keys. It could have been much better if just a little bit of care was done to make sure things were right before we got there. Not sure we will ever go back to this property unless Jay confirms that all of the issues with the space and the boat are fixed and repairs completed. It could be much improved with a little work.

Had a great time!
