We really enjoyed our stay at the Pembroke. Our room was lovely with a view of the castle. Breakfast was excellent and I really enjoyed the waffles especially since I am someone who is gluten intolerant. It was a real treat. We were both very pleased that Sara recommended breakfast to take away with us on the second morning as we had to leave early to catch the train. Sara was especially helpful on a couple of occasions. Thanks so much!

Staff are the star of this hotel. Excellent on check-in and throughout. They are all excellent ambassadors for the Pembroke. In particular, the star of the whole stay was Rachel on reception. Make sure you keep her…!!!, well trained and she delivers outstanding customer service.

Hotel was very conveniently located in the town centre, we took the bus from the airport which stops a couple of minutes walk away. Unfortunately there was some renovation under way whilst we were there which was noisy at times. Breakfast was good with ample choice.

Spent two night at the Pembroke which is very conveniently located and walkable to the sites of Kilkenny. Parking and drop off was not as simple as we would have liked because the road is very busy with limited access to unloading, while the parking lot is a five minute walk away around a couple of corners and up a small hill. Bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was fantastic. TV was oddly mounted on a fixed mount that offered a 45* view when sitting on the bed. Live TV did not work during our stay and the toilet seat was hanging on by a single bolt. The restaurant was good, offering several good options for an evening meal while the included breakfast was excellent - try the waffles and bacon! Staff were efficient and friendly throughout our short stay.
