Welcome to Kalimera Cottage!
This is a cozy, clean and quiet one-bedroom studio apartment less than a mile away from the beach in the heart of Kill Devil Hills.

I’m Katie and my husband Scott and I are your hosts.

This guest house offers a private, newly updated and stylish stay. Less than 1 mile to the ocean and Avalon Pier. Only 1/2 mile to the Avalon Beach Boat Access ( a great place to watch the sunset) and access to walk along the sound on Bay Drive. There is a fully stocked kitchen with complete range/oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and toaster oven and BBQ area. It has utensils and pots/pans for you to use during your stay, including basics such as oil, salt and pepper, various condiments, coffee and tea. It has a full bathroom with full bath; shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are provided.

The living area has a smart television and sitting chair. We do not have cable, but wifi is strong. There is a comfortable queen bed to rest after a day at the beach. Linens and bath towels provided for you, as well as beach towels and set of beach chairs for your stay. We also have a private, enclosed outdoor shower to rinse off after soaking up the sun and sand while enjoying all the beach has to offer.

Great Studio Stay

This little place is cute and comfortable. It has everything you need and more. It's in a quiet neighborhood close to the beaches and shopping. The owners were really nice and quickly responded to any questions we had. We definitely recommend this and would stay again.

Perfect retreat

Space had everything one could need for a great getaway. Everything was comfortable and convenient. Only concern, and it was a minimal one, would be the noise at times from house overhead. Very much felt safe and welcome with Scott and Katie.

Great little spot for a quick trip.

Overall great place. Loved the bar cart and big ice cube tray for my bourbon. Only minor drawbacks were the step up in the bathroom (required for drainage I'm sure) made the shower too short for me (at 6'2") and the lighting was odd (remotes and timers and such). Both very small issues. We never even crossed paths with the owners, but we could hear the dog's claws when it ran around. We'll definitely stay again and recommend you do too.

Short and sweet get away!

My husband and I stayed three nights and it was wonderful! Katie was very quick to respond when we messaged her. We were able to check in early. The studio was so cute and clean. We had everything we needed and then some. If there was something we forgot they had it. The games were great and enjoyed playing them on the porch. We forgot our beach towels and they had a basket with them, sun care products and bottled water in a cute basket. We were not far from the beach and everything else we needed. Thanks again Katie and Scott, you have a very cute quaint place ❤️

Excellent weekday beach stay!

Highly recommend this property. If you don’t mind walking, it is walking distance to Jolly Rogers, the beach, etc. Super clean apartment and the outside patio area was lovely. Having beach towels provided was a nice extra!

Just Right

We could not have asked for more caring and accomadating hosts than Scott and Katie. We felt completely comfortable and at home. Cleanliness and class in this cute little efficiency. Outer Banks Vacation 2022

Had a great experience here. We were able to check in earlier than check in time. Katie is very nice and gave great recommendations for restaurants. The studio is exactly as pictured and very clean. It is conveniently located to the beach and sound. We would stay here again.

2020 Smithfield

Very happy with this place. Ample stocks of toiletries and personal necessities. Also basic spices and herbs etc. The owner was very helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. They even provide beach chairs, towels, and sunscreen. All the appliances were in great shape and worked well. This is a very nice place for two guests.

Short but sweet.

Even though we only stayed two nights the studio for two was very clean and comfortable and was centrally located to our places of interest. It had everything we needed and was just off the main road and close to some good restaurants.
